The $40 lots should be free for any car with 4+ people. I like where you are going with this. HOV parking lots FTW. Can't park unless you have at least 3 people in your vehicle
makes a lot of sense to me!!!!

Right, with one SEC game so far this season to study, they made recommendations which caused the Florida game problems.
I thought Auburn was a home game? I was there so pretty sure Florida wasn't the first SEC game at home.
Auburn would be that one SEC home game, you dumb frick!
How old are you---15?
Whatever,

Say what you want about the parking/traffic situation. I get it. Or bring up his mishandling of the Duke Lax scandal. Fair game.
But to say that Alleva has done anything but a great job at LSU really really shows your ignorance.
I used to take up for the dude but hes been absolutely awful and theres no debate. Hes rode Miles (a hire he didnt make) to keep the fans at bay. Hes had 2 significant hires. The first Trent Johnson-he failed. The second being Johnny Jones-whos been great. However Johnny was there the first time. People were telling him Johnny the first time. If you read his statements it reads like a powerless tool saying here you go we will see how your way works-and guess what-it works a hell of a lot better than his way.

Dear Joe Alleva,
Thank you for your condescending bullshite. Here's an idea... make some physical compensations for the temporary lack of SEZ gates and employ some ticket takers with a bit of sense.
For example, there is no reason not to double the number of ticket takers INSIDE the West gates by allowing fans to enter the permanent aisles then fanning out to more lines under the stands. There is plenty enough room. Doing so would also provide shade to allow your ticket takers to see the screens on their scanning devices... which seemed to be their biggest problem. Arriving 45 minutes before kickoff should be PLENTY of time to enter the stadium for anybody, and it's a bit insulting to advise well-paying ticket holders to get there earlier.
Sincerely,
Rex
Completely agree. I mean no shite there are different gates Joe. I go in the gates near my seats. Just like the SEZ people used to go in by their seats. You know what youre right though. The entire west side should go in 3 gates-456. That will sure solve the problem of you not taking preventative measures to account for not having gates for the south endzone real well.

Say what you want. You make some valid points, but I say the proof is in the pudding. The athletic department is basically printing money while also improving facilities for every major and many minor sports and enjoying academic and athletic success across the board. I'll take it.

FIFY and with Joes way looking at the empty seats in the stadium for a big SEC game it wont be printing money much longer. People from TAF were stuck in the awful traffic and the madhouse outside the west gates. This contrived crap and passing the buck only works for so long.

Did anyone seriously think the new expansion would not cause issues?

This reminds me of the "Les is winning with Saban's players" stuff. Alleva is the head of the LSU athletic department and LSU athletics are better across the board than they ever have. I have zero complaints with the current state of LSU athletics, so I'm not gonna complain about that. If this starts to change, maybe I will.
I understand complaints with the traffic and parking and that can't 100% be put on Alleva. Some of it can, though. However, Making a blanket statement about his tenure here because you're peeved by parking and traffic problems just won't cut it for me.

Like I said earlier, pretty damn obvious who you work for. All about the money, don't give a shite about the fans.

Football and baseball are good and Alleva has nothing to do with either. Basketball is almost there but this is due to Collis Temple Dale and the rest of the crew calling Alleva out in the press. With Allevas way we might have gotten another awful fit like harvards coach and end up 4 years down the road in the same mess we are in now.
His decisions outside of coaching decisions have been one blunder without foresight after another.

I give a shite about money because money = better facilities, coaches, bigger recruiting budget, etc., which = success for LSU on the field. Is this not what we all want?
Also - Show me how I don't care about fans? Of course I want traffic and parking to improve, but I'm also not too naive to understand that there will always be some type of logistical issues with packing 100K people from around the state into a little space, especially when you consider the horrible infrastructure of BR, it's inept police force and local govt and complete lack of public transporation. This year has presented new logistical problems. Alleva and co. probably could and should have prepared better, but they also clearly see that there are still issues and are trying to work things out. It's not as fluid and concrete of a situation as people want to believe it is. Also - As much as you all may hate this, fans need to do their part and understand that with these new logistical issues, maybe they will have to break their beloved routines and get to campus a little earlier or park somewhere new and walk further. Is that really that horrible? At the very least, can we shed this victim mentality and try to enjoy this potentially great football season?

5-10 years ago I would ride down college and only people with parking passes could turn down highland. Then once you did turn down highland it was two lanes headed towards campus. On the way out-same thing. How could this be?!?!?!?!?!? Same city. Same Infrastructure. Same transportation. Same police. Different result. Practical result. We must have a consulting firm to investigate this.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but can you give me some examples? Is it the new basketball practice facility or the new indoor track?
I'm not elated about paying to park on campus, but that shite was inevitable regardless of who was at the helm.
You can say his administration has issues to work out with parking and traffic for football and I won't disagree, but is that enough to make him a bad AD?

Yet they have no one competent to gauge if there is space left or direct you to said space.
Lets take the South endzone expansion par example. No thought to increase ticket scanners or have attendants directing fans at the closest largest gate to the SEZ. Brilliant Joe. Also you can still have a gate there. Believe me I walked through the West Upper redo to get to my gate.
Hes a powerless tool when it comes to voicing any our traditions or concerns with the SEC whether it be night games bowl games or bridge schedule inequities. He has simultaneously decreased the college football experience-down with band songs increase with piped in music-while increased the amount of games scheduled at NFL stadiums.
Lets just put it this way. Joe in no way has contributed anything that aids the experience of Tiger Stadium and has continually done things that take away from it.
ETA: Why does Joe need a consulting firm to accomplish what Skip could do years ago?

not to mention Skip deserves almost all the credit for kicking out the grandfather's ticket pricing scheme, jumping into the SEC arms race with both feet, hiring a FB coach who keeps winning and supporting this budget, etc.

Totally over his head
I loathe Joe Alleva. He was the AD at Duke when the lying whore made false accusations about the Duke Lacrosse players. Alleva turned against the Lacrosse team and the coach.
I hate that LSU hired that jackass.

Shouldn't the goal be to fix these issues before the A&M game? Wouldn't you anticipate that it could be worse than Florida if action isn't taken now.

At least they are thinking big picture by hiring a consultant group...
there is hope!!!!
