All of you screaming for Nuss and ready to throw JD under the bus…

Just remember a perfectly healthy Nuss sat on the bench while the team you love started a WR at QB.

I don’t give a shite about eligibility or it “just being a meaningless bowl game”. If he was all in he would be chomping at the bit for a chance to have a great performance and solidify himself as a contender for the starting position.

I’m not ready to hand everything over to a guy like that just yet.

The his is such a tiresome take from middle aged message board jockeys. It was a meaningless exhibition game that exists only as TV content. Forget the players decision it would have been beyond stupid for LSU to play him in that game

My guy. Daniels still can't throw the ball.

No amount of seething on a message board is going to change that.

bullshite.

How is it meaningless for him to have a month of first team reps and a chance to rally the team around him. That’s what a leader does. So many QBs would not be ok with their team having to start a WR at QB.

Instead he was worried about his eligibility and looking at other schools to transfer to.

I know you think it’s antiquated to feel this way but it matters. If he was clearly better than Daniels then fine. But if they are both flawed and it’s a toss up I’ll take the guy who didn’t voluntarily sit out.

Jayden is and should be the starter. But your take on Nuss and the bowl game is one of message board losers. No one affiliated with the team, current coaches or players, gave two shites about Nuss playing in the joke of a game. And if you think that had any bearing whatsoever on the QB competition moving forward, you’re really too clueless to even discuss this with.

No it doesn’t, you are putting way to much importance on what is ultimately an extracurricular activity. Maybe you missed the fact the team/program was in flux, they had no coach and only 39 scholarship players. The team you wanted to rally around him is mostly gone anyway.

By so many QBs you mean middle aged fans that mostly never played. It’s a game that never should have been played. It’s hilarious and sad that you think an exhibition that has zero to do with what’s good for the players and 100% a tv network generating content on a Tuesday night and the SEC getting bowl revenue. No one outside of bitter fans like you cared about that game and it was forgotten 5 minutes after it ended

Daniels can't throw the dam ball. I'm done listening to the people making excuses for him using the usual "if he had a decent O-line". We have all watched the same games and many, many times JD has a lot of time with the same results. Counts 3 seconds and he's off and running. He has only one redeeming quality, and that is his running skills. Even his completions are crapy, almost always behind the receiver. There has been ZERO improvement in his ability to read defenses.

Nuss had one horrific game where he came in with 2nd and 3rd string guys who he had no practice with, plus he pushed too hard because he's hoping to get the starting job. Other than that we have not seen him on the field with full preparation as a starter. We have yet to see what we have with him. Nuss may not be the answer, but given preparation as a starter he will get our receivers the ball and get our offense out of neutral. Plus we won't have an exodus of receiver talent hitting the transfer portal at the end of the season.

This has been disproven. Brad Davis said himself he wasn’t going to let Nuss have to make that decision and he sat him.

Exactly.

I would have played that game and solidified me to come in as #1 QB this year.

The problem with all these MF is they think they should leave after their junior year. What Nuss forgot is they have FOUR FRIGGING YEARS!! Play last years bowl and you still have 3 years left

Not ready to throw JD under the bus, but I'm not at all ready to declare Nuss a failure either.

Right now, JD is as much a liability as a strength and the coaches need to plan on Nuss getting a few series each game so he can improve.

Face it, JD is more fragile than Tua with a lot less upside. We are gonna need Nuss. Better start getting his arse ready to play. That's on the coaches.

Based upon what? The Southern game? Throw the guy in when its garbage time with 2nd and 3rd stringers and expect him to do well? We haven't seen what he can do yet.

You have a very immaturish take, and all your emojis don't help you not sound 15 years old.
