Pat Forde tweeted out another release from the trial. Evidently a TCU and Creighton assistant received financial "bribes" from Dawkins party.

I'm telling you the NCAA is going to have their hands full with 100's of schools participating in this shite storm.

This doesn't look good, but absent clear evidence of a money trail, nothing is going to stick to Wade or LSU.

If LSU has anything to sweat over, there are probably 50 other programs that should be sweating a lot more.

You’re just spouting out BS without any facts to back it up. It’s like you’re happy about it

Do I believe it? frick no, but until the NCAA can prove anything concrete frick them. I'm riding until we wrap this baby around a tree, because if we fire him they're admitting wrong doing and screwed anyway.

Ott was saying(take with grain of salt) that another wave of names were going to come out. That'd be good for us because once too many players or schools are implicated the NCAA just throws up their hands. Last year in February, people like Forde, Thamel, and Wolken were questioning whether dozens of teams would have to miss the tourney the NCAA just said whatever.

He can't get over this weird envy between the way Wade and Orgeron are treated.

I was told back in August or September by someone closely connected to this mess who conducted an internal review of their program (not LSU) that there were over 27 different basketball schools caught up on audio tape and that some of those audio tapes they said at the time would reveal some really shady activity. The problem is the NCAA can't go after any of the programs because they are the biggest financial recipient from the Athletic Shoe companies so enacting any type of enforcement measures would likely dry up their income stream which is why the NCAA won't do a damn thing.

FWIW Alleva has told Wade he needs to lay low and just focus on the team/stay away from any drama. This comes from one of the local LSU reporters.

WW is going to have to address this with the media at some point. Just deny any allegations of misconduct and say that he used a poor choice of words on a phone call that he didn’t know was being recorded.

Heres the big issue. WW is subpoenaed as a defense witness. Their defense is that all the coaches were in on the deal. Getting caught up in this Dawkins investigation was bad luck. I dont see how he gets out of an under oath testimony. If it was just ncaa he cld just deny it.

All he has to say is that he's happy to comply with the subpoena, but until that time he has no comment.

Period.

Will Wade needs to wait until all of the other names are released by the defendants in this case so he falls by the wayside. This is the strategy that Arizona "was" using with Sean Miller but since he will be fired at the end of the season it would be in Will's best interest to law very low. No press conferences until after the NCAA Tourney.

So many from this LSU class wanted to play with one another in college. Listen to the interviews and you will hear Smart talk about the guys he's teamed up with he's played with for many years despite they are from all over the eastern half of the country. With that in mind, who is to say Smart wanted certain players to get offers where others would not? Getting him all he needs may have had more to do with trying to sign a modern [LSU] version of the FAB FOUR.

Three of the top five players in the same year's class signed with Duke. Others have talked about Zion Williamson's Dad's request for money from Kansas. Perhaps what got Williamson to Duke [as the 3rd highest ranked of the three] was his ability to play with these others[?].

I agree it "looks bad" for Will Wade and he's probably a douche bag paying players to come to the school he is currently coaching - just happens to be LSU this go round. But if they can't prove that anyone was actually paid then what? He was pretty clever with his language but not that clever. Pretty obvious their was some money discussions. Probably all coaches do it or at least the ones that aren't Duke, Kentucky, and North Carolina - or do they all pay the players? Wade should word his conversations better is all I got out of this. Geaux Tigers!

The national media is bashing Wade and the program. It's a violation to even suggest offering a kid anything and his parents. All he says is it's a big offer, so you can take it for what it's worth. It just doesn't look good and I think LSU needs to say something or the media will just talk about this until the tournament is over. Sad news and hope it goes away.
