I'm a big fan of evidence. Please point me to the wire tap recording (not just the part leaked by a criminal defense lawyer with an agenda)? Please point me to the actual evidence that Wade or Smart committed an NCAA violation?
You actually have to have some evidence. As of today, there is none.

My thoughts are the opposite of yours: if this is the best Yahoo had to publish at this juncture then Wade’s future at LSU is looking slightly brighter than I previously thought.

Maybe not. There is no harm in suspending (prior to termination) for a number of reasons. If the NCAA determines that WW committed serious violations, LSU would then have stronger grounds for termination. So, waiting makes sense. Also, if other information comes forward that clears WW, then LSU could reinstate him as coach. From a legal/lawsuit view, it makes sense to suspend first, then make the next decision as additional info comes to light.
I am very consistent with everything I have written. I believe LSU/NCAA/others probably have more info about the WW situation that what has appeared in the media. I don't know this (and neither do you). However, to me, the behavior of LSU indicates this analysis.

And that's OK. As a devout LSU fan, I'm doing my best to take a few steps back and look at all of this from an outside perspective. Some folks on the rant are the type that believes that every penalty thrown on LSU is 100% wrong and also a grand conspiracy. I'm not one of those.

No, I said when it was first released that LSU claims that it identified the handler before they cleared Smart. LSU doesn't have a "source", LSU investigated and located this individual. There is no source of information that is giving LSU more than what is being leaked out by Dawkins criminal defense lawyers (who have a clear agenda).

Please explain to me how this gets worse for Wade. So we have the identity of a mentor/AAU coach that is actually connected to John Calipari. This individual had been previously identified by LSU when they cleared Smart. Meaning they either interviewed this guy and found nothing wrong or the guy told them to go pound sand because he is under no obligation to talk to LSU or the NCAA (and neither can make him talk to them).
Either way, what he didn't do was tell anyone that Wade made him an offer that violates NCAA rules. So if they don't have that statement from the handler and they don't have it from Wade, please tell me how the NCAA is going to make a finding that Wade made an offer to provide improper benefits in violation of the NCAA rules...

It almost seems like Vitale is pissed after his outburst on Jordys show and told his friend Forde to smack LSU around in the press some more as retaliation. This new hit piece has absolutely nothing of consequence in it just badmouthing LSU.
