Braswell was playing SS and his defense improved dramatically by the end of the season. He had 1 error in the last 18 games last season. He is WAY WAY ahead of Reaves defensively when talking 3B or just in general. Reaves would never dream of playing SS for probably a top high school team much less in the SEC.
Anyone who watched Reaves in preseason or even warming up saw a guy who is a big time liability in the infield. This is a guy his own JUCO team moved out of the infield to the OF due to his defense.
So yes, while Reaves bat is hot as can be, it needs to stay that way for him to stay in the infield because he will make probably a dozen plays like we just saw last inning. This is why having Braswell as a defensive replacement would be a great idea in tight games late.

Reaves may be crushing the ball but you have to factor in the runs he can cost you in the field. We are better off with him at DH if Braswell can he anything close to .300. Obviously he isn’t but we know he can. It’s a matter of ending this slump.

Hope Rizy gets another inning so I can see if he does it again but his facial expressions were kind of telling what pitch was coming.
