I really miss those days. The attitude, the big Admiral Doll in the stands, the 'gangster' vibe he brought. Not to mention some of the best .gifs ever.

That's all, he made it fun.

People love to bitch about him and act holier than thou but sports at the end of the day are entertainment and I want to be entertained rather than kiss the NCAA’s arse and play by the books while watching my team get their asses beat

You're right, which is why I don't give a shite that he cheated, I give a shite that he cheated like an idiot and got caught, thus taking away the entertainment from the last few seasons and leaving us with the pile of shite we have now.

We made the choice to get rid of him rather than sacrifice a couple of years under probation like Auburn did with Pearl

He would’ve probably been retained if he was remotely close to being in the same stratosphere as Pearl too

Ignoring the fact that Pearl won a DII national championship when he was 33, he started his Tennessee tenure at 45 and immediately had success. If y’all want to obsess over Wade because he gave the program life and made things fun I can understand that, but some of y’all pretend that he was going to bring LSU multiple national championships at some point and it’s completely delusional. He isn’t a great coach by any stretch of the imagination

First of all, any one of us could at least probably be a roll player on a division freaking II national championship team when there are 350 division I basketball programs. Second, all we’re saying is we want to at least enjoy LSU basketball. Some of you act like you’d rather be miserable so that you are vindicated. It’s just annoying that we suck this much after seeing the trajectory the program was on.

We only had 1 good season. He was 18-15 , 8-10 in conference his first season. With all that talent we had dbl digit loses each year besides 1. Never won the sec tournament. Never got to the sweet 16. So much talent and very little results

I thought the football fans on here where clueless but the basketball "experts" take it to a new level. All what talent you acting like Wade had Kentucky or Duke level talent here. We had 1 lottery pick and that was last year 1 other 1st round pick and a bunch of 2nd round and undrafted guys. Wade brought LSU talent up to the standard of the rest of the SEC and won consistently in a good conference.

But he got to the SECT championship game (lost on a missed tip in) for the first time LSU has since 1993.

It will not always be like this. Our basketball team will improve it might not get to the level we all thought Wade was getting us but it will get better and respectable in the next few years.

Agreed. I’ve lost all interest in men’s basketball since Woodward bent over and took one from the NCAA.

Do you think everything he did was legal.
It appears there are rules for some and not for others.
Bruce has been shady at each stop.

This is beyond dumb. LSU’s only recent success was due Will Wade. We were awful under JJ and Trent. You must be too young to recall having the top player in basketball and not making the tournament or having tuba players starting.
