O was dc at Ole Miss, he did a very bad job. why would you hire a bad DC over a proven DC Chavis?

Nobody wants him as DC. They want him as DL coach/recruiting coordinator. Said earlier in the week he misses the college game and would like to stay in Louisiana and would talk to LSU if they called.

I know, but he also said it in a newspaper article earlier in the week. I don't know how many times it has to be discussed by him. He's pimpin himself big time.

I hope so. He's a HUGE upgrade over what we have now.

In the interview he said he has NOT been contacted. And he says he'd be interested in a move UP.

Coach O:
"First of all I've not been contacted by anyone from LSU. Obviously me being from Louisiana and the great school LSU is I'd always consider talking to LSU about a possible move up in my status of what I'm doing. Now, that doesn't mean that uh that's gonna come forward, but I'd listen to LSU, sure."

The Up is probably the stickler. I think Les would take him on the staff but not as a DC and when I say discussions it's along those lines. Gut feeling is if he leaves the Saints, it's to UT.

perhaps not...i dont know what he is making with the saints

but it is possible that he could be a position coach but get a title like "associate head coach" or "assistant head coach" without being the DC

im not sure about the difference in pay

Yeah, I doubt he comes to LSU just to be the DL coach. He wants the DC job and Miles just can't take the risk of hiring someone without significant DC experience. He would have probably given him a shot before the co-dc fiasco of this year, but not now. That being said, I doubt we see Orgeron on this staff anytime soon.

it would be that Miles just doesn't want to have a guy who crossed a line that shouldn't have been crossed when they were competing with each other.

What line did he cross? I'm curious to know why people don't want him here.

Has the man ever been a coordinator??? I'm not interested in him. YOU've got to almost be good enough to be the head coach in order to be a coordinator. We all know what kind of a head coach he was.

In other words, he wants to be DC here. No thanks
