Have Henry, Hill and marceaux just strike everyone out
Paul will stay play Hughes at SS for defensive purposes

that is what concerns me
hughes will still start.
i just don't get how LSU can't fill that with a better player.

I thought Hal had a chance to pull a Kramer this year but I just don’t think it’s there.
You never know though - KRob was absolutely awful at the plate to start his career.

Miguel Cairo's kid is going to be your shortstop next year.
He'll be fine. He might not be quite the bat Smith is, but his defense will be really good and he'll be trouble on the basepaths.

I selfishly hope he loves playing at LSU so much and stays for another year. I doubt he does, but stranger things have happened.

This is LSU. Re reload. Whoever ultimately replaces him will be a legit college star and will be drafted.
Maybe hat guy will isn’t there n the current roster.
What position will Maurice Hampton be playing?
I don’t know who it will be, but my expectation is that someone will I’ll step up and take on that role, and that that player will he an asset and not a liability.

Hughes or Cairo to SS. Doughty to 3rd base. IMO

It'll be either Hughes or Cairo if we get him on campus. Doughty should play 3rd base.

Too bad the injury bug took the majority of his greatness from us (LSU)

I was thinking about this on the macro when looking at the first 6 in LSU's lineup today.
Smith
Broussard
Duplantis
Cabrera
Watson
Garza
5 of those 6 are gone next year with Cabrera the only one back.

Christian Cairo or Cade Doughty will hopefully be our SS next year. I've seen Cairo rated as high as the #83 prospect in the draft, by Baseball America, though, and Doughty a little higher than that. And that's the concern. Hopefully one (or both) of them will be the next Bregman/Cabrera, as a top 100 position player who makes it to campus.
Cairo, from everything I can glean, seems like the better fit at SS, but both can hit.
