5 coming back and the ‘21 WR class in La is nice.

No doubt they’ll be extremely talented, just inexperienced. I know the 3 studs dominated the ball last year, but there was plenty of opportunity for Palmer to play more than he did if he was ready. Is he a football player who happens to run track, or a track star who happens to play football? frick it, I have no idea why I’ve exerted so much energy playing devil’s advocate on this this fine Sunday morning. I had given this topic absolutely zero thought before this thread.

McMath is going to get some catches this year.

I think he'll be the breakout player in the WR room. He seems deceptively quick because of those long strides. Go back and watch that A&M touchdown late in the game, he's leaving people.

We have the opposite problem; there are not enough balls. Racy, Terrace, Jamarr and Palmer will all play a ton. Kirkland, Jaray and the best of the freshmen, will not get as many passes as you’d like to see. Then, next year, we will have Jaray, Boutte, Moore, Adams, Palmer and possibly Terrace returning. These five will be fighting for scarce playing time, while about four freshmen sit the bench. An embarrassment of riches.

Will be a good sales tool to all of the instate studs Louisiana has at WR for the 2021 class.

I do think Brennan needs to have a decent year and show that 2019 wasn’t a fluke. You know opposing coaches are still pointing to LSUs QB recruiting and telling these WR prospects that we won’t have anyone to get them the ball.

2021 class will be loaded with wideouts... In Louisiana alone there are 6-7 prospects ranked in the top 200-300 and that's not taking into account the national kids that the staff will try to bring in. The 2021 freshman class will be absolutely loaded with pass catching talent.

You’re surprised Jenkins played so little? Who the do you think he was going to take reps from? Jefferson, Chase, Marshall, McMath, Dillon or Sullivan!

We will never need to worry about restocking at WR

This state produces massive amounts of talent in that position. Especially as long as we keep an offense that gives them no scheme excuse to want to leave the state

Louisiana has like 6 guys who could legit get an offer from LSU if they wanted to this year.

They'll probably take 5 WRs. Staff seems like some of the younger guys already there and Boutte will probably get significant PT this year. Moore might surprise. Adams also might surprise as he probably should've been rated a high 4* guy based on talent alone. LSU is fine.

It's possible LSU signs the best WRs class of any university after this season as the state itself is loaded with top 200 prospects at WR. Moving Lee to defense tells you all you need to know how confident they are in the younger guys.

Louisiana is loaded with WR's coming out of high school next year and I'm sure O will be on the trail for other out of state guys too. They may have some youth after next year but there will be a lot of talent.

I may be wrong, but I think the OP’s concern—or at least it should be—is the potential lack of experience for the ‘21 group. We need to play a lot more guys in ‘20 than your post suggests. Otherwise, Brennan may be gone with Chase and Marshall, and ‘21 becomes another rebuilding year instead of another championship run.

While I understand the thought process there, you recruit for that. You can't really worry about two years from now though when it comes to playing the tough games for next year. I'm sure Orgeron's goals for next year are the same as they will be for 2021 - to win all the games. Some years that is more attainable than others, but you have to play the guys that give you the best chance to win every game. Some years you will have more depth than others.

If LSU gets ahead by a lot in some games or there are injuries, those other guys will get their experience.

Are any of the incoming Freshmen early enrollees? If not, that leaves just 6 bodies(extremely talented) available for spring practice. That’s tight.

Exactly. It’s why I think Palmer, Jenkins, and 2 of the FR this year need to see plenty of meaningful action. Don’t won’t to go into ‘21 with a group of guys who haven’t played very much—or not at all in the case of the ‘21 FR class—no matter how
