It says to be at our best we needed another vet

A vet to challenge the young guys but also show them that raw talent doesn't cut it at this level

It says we needed quality depth for a first year signal caller

It says that any WR butthurt because they have to wait another year because 3 or 4 guys beat them out in spring and summer camp wasn't someone to hack it anyway

It also says out of all the position groups to worry about...LSU doesn't have an issue recruiting WRs

LSU isn't letting the next Odell, Jarvis, Jamar, JJ etc walk out the door...those guys were ready early

These next guys may be talented but either BK wants them to beat out legit competition or they haven't shown enough. We don't need to force playing time to an overrated player to satisfy their own ego here

Wow, just….wow. We just signed a great player. That is probably terrible and means we don’t already have any great players.

Or maybe this staff is short on developing WRs as well as DL, DBs.

If you're not looking to get better, you're looking at getting worse.

Lacy and Hilton are it and neither have proven to be a WR1 or WR2 yet.

Yeah, bullshite!

Those are two bonafide studs, and they have proven it. But you need three regular starters and three stud backups. 2019 had Jaray, Palmer, Jontre and Racey as backups. 2023 had Hilton and Anderson so was a little short-handed.

We have a bunch of freshmen WRs, and surely 1 or 2 will turn out well. We’ll know which ones this coming season. But if it’s two that pan out, that gives us four without portal guys. We needed at least two more, so by my way of thinking, we need three portal guys so that two work out. We have gotten two, so I’d like one more, unless the staff is confident in at least three of those rising second year guys.

Who’s angry? Fishy that guys like 5-star Sampson didn’t get much action in Tampa

You figured it out. They have a plan in place to actively sabotage the team for the next 8 seasons. It’s working to perfection.

To me it says the young kids aren't ready.
As for Daniels, no issue with taking him. However he played at Liberty against competition in which if we played them the young kids would've gotten experience in droves and likely been successful. Let's stop acting like our current kids don't face better competition in practice. All experience is good but it doesn't make the kid better on its face. I have no doubts that Sampson, for instance, could've put up Daniels numbers at Liberty.

Hilton has like 17 career catches in 4 years, he hasn’t proven anything

The guy who watches the team practice everyday all year felt the need to take not 1 but 2 portal WRs, and tards who haven’t seen any practice are upset because they think we’re fine at wr where outside of Lacy we return 4-5 guys with less than 30 career catches combined

These are the same idiots who reacted the same way when Kelly brought in the other Daniels

“We have Myles Brennan and Nuss, we’re set at qb!!!!”

It says low level IQ ranters can't handle the fact that adults are now in charge.

Was listening to hunt last week and he said he knows he can't judge a player(s) off of on practice but the wr that left Jalen and Sampson had drops... now they got open but dropped passes.. it's the same thing Jordy was saying before the season... Sampson and Jalen dropped passes.. it happens but you can't go into next season and just hope they get over it..

Is that a player or coaching issue? WRs were having drop issues when Brady got here and he had specific drills for catching, hand eye (wearing visors) drills.

the issue with the hole at WR is mostly a numbers & timing issue.

21' was a strong recruiting class at WR( Thomas, lacy, hilton, deion smith etc).

22' they only took lacy in the portal, because they had so many holes to fill in other places.

23' they took the class that were freshmen this past year.

So there is a gap due to the roster construction and how it was left by the past staff.

The sign of a good program is recycling good players every year, no matter who goes pro or transfers. They've started to do this at OL and RB almost immediately. They are doing it at WR, but it likely wont show until 2025. As for now, they are adding kepy pieces to supplment that.

Very true.

Not replying to you, Lester. Everyone is looking at this very wrong. First of all, these WR signings are for (very talented) experience. Period.

More so, the offense next year will be led by a QB that will not run as much as Daniels. Those “extra” pass attempts will go largely to a very talented TE group.

Theoretically 22 you got Anderson and Ibeita. Anderson looks like a bust and ibieta will never contribute
