if your sayin Miles is a better coach than Saban than "handsdown" you are a idiot, I'm not going to get into a debate, and post stats back and forth, but just the fact that you think he is a better coach than Saban tells me a lot about you, the whole reason this thread was started was because of Miles' placement on this list which I agree is wrong, and he should be ranked higer than that, but not the absurdity your suggesting.
it all depends on how you want to define "coach"

Correction it was 5 seasons, not 6, and once again, Saban took us to our first SEC championship in about 13 seasons, and won 2 in 3 years, pretty impressive

But one of those SEC titles was won in by a 3-loss LSU team that benefited from playing in a bad SEC West. Our '05 and '06 teams under Miles were better--and lost less games--than that '01 team.

oh yeah for some reason i thought saban coached in 2005. brain fart
miles has 1 year to win an SEC title to match saban's championship accomplishments

and we had a 2-loss national champion in 2007, which is goin to be much, much more rare

Once again you can't compare seasons b/t the two coaches b/c Saban took over a MEDIOCRE program, and Miles took over a program 2 years removed from winning a national championship
Posted on 4/22/09 at 7:09 pm to mlttiger
and in miles' 2nd year we had the most talented LSU team of all time, which was almost all saban players

You pointed out Miles NC was with 2-losses and disregard that Saban's 1st SEC championship was with 3? I will always think our '06 season was more successful than our '01 one.

Katrina took an SEC title and a chance at a BCS title away from Miles.

How can you compare these two season? Once again Saban LIFTED the program from an average team to an ELITE team, Miles took over an elite program, coming off two SEC championships, and a national championship in a 4 year period prior to Miles

then your opinion doesn't matter at all. If you don't know any of those guys, you're living under a rock.

look forward to, hopefully your pencil dick will get it up this year, otherwise you won't be pissed about that 2500.00 dollars that hooker gets for tellin you bedtime stories.
you know like the ones where LSU was a powerhouse in the 70's and 80's and consistly ranked in the top ten you senile old frick.
Sonnyboy, the only thing I spend 2500 bucks on is a case of my scotch. Since you weren't even a stain in your mama's painties in the 70s and 80s you wouldn't know a damn thing about LSU football. They were consistantly good and playing in bowls nearly every year. Nobody mentioned top 10. Were they top 20, yea in most years they were in that area.
Now, sonnyboy, your futile attempt to flame me merely shows that you are a kid. So, go put some acne medicine on your face and go stroke it to pictures of little nicky saban or to whatever skank passes for your gf.
Goodbye sonnyboy.

Most weren't excited about Saban's hiring at first either....we all have short memories!

A little low for Pinkel and a little high for Ferentz(note Iowa's slide the past 3 seasons).
Also, Dennis Erickson 3 slots above Miles?

You mean the Unified NC complete with the AP trophy? Rare? Of course! As are all NC's in college football.

Hmm.. will "Saban-the-Day" be coming back to try to improve his lousy Bowl Game record at LSU? Will we be replaying the UAB game? The 2002 VT game?
