It is part of the criteria that was set at the creation of the CFP committee. They didn't make the rules. They are playing by the rules. Do you think FSU would beat Bama today if they played each other, even if they played in Tallahassee? I hate Bama, but I have to be fair and look for the 4 BEST teams right now
Following this logic, do you think Washington would beat Georgia? Georgia would be universally favored, but Washington earned it on the field.

SOS thats what you get for playing in garbage conference

With the QB from yesterday no, but with Tate Rodemaker yes I think FSU would stay right with Bama and potentially beat Bama.
Bama wouldn't score more than 14 against that FSU defense, possibly less. FSU would have a great chance to beat Bama. With Travis FSU is the better team and absolutely would beat Bama.

Interesting observation, but irrelevant!

so now we have the committee so we can have the subjective human element and people hate it.
The human element that takes a NC chance away from an undefeated Power Five school to give it to another team because, We Feel. That is the grassroot objection sirs.
How fricking wrong is that.

In my observing this year I would say FSU would kick Bamas arse.

Tell that to their defense…they’ve been stout all season.
This is all about them playing their third string QB. That’s an underdog story that they robbed us of.

his first reason should've been sos if anything. bama's was 5th in the country and fsu was like 55 or something high. when ur best win is bama's 3rd best win, and bama also just beat the two time defending champs literally yesterday that's what you should've started with. I think they got it right but obviously it's not fair for the noles

It's completely asinine logic.
Agree with you. Rather than reward FSU for finding a way to grind out an ugly win with a true freshman 3rd string QB, the CFP committee punishes them because they're not the same team they were before Jordan Travis went down. How is that even remotely fair?

We had the BCS which was very objective and people hated it, so now we have the committee so we can have the subjective human element and people hate it.
That's why I always thought that they should have kept the BCS formula but used it to select the 4 team playoff. It would have used the best of bost systems.

Not how I remember it. The BCS computers were not hated. People wanted a playoff system not a committee.

That last criteria was a taylor-made last minute excuse to keep FSU out.
Or get Bama in, gotta look out for Bama

The NFL doesn't use a playoff committee
I think his point is simply that you shouldn't have a biased human element intervene and play God with matchups. Let the chips fall where they may and be settled in the field.
By the same logic, the playoff committee never would've given the 9-7 Giants a chance to play the undefeated Patriots in the 2007 Superbowl. Pats win that matchup 99/100, but guess what? Giants played way over their head for one game and took down Goliath

Bama beat #1 Georgia...thats a big deal
Louisville sucks...handing FSU ACC...
See the difference?
Who you play matters

FSU is not a top 4 team right now
LSU right now would beat them 49-21

Take Daniels out and we would not have had a winning season. QB is the most important position for winning

The committee is completely inconsistent If FSU is so bad because of their QB injury then ranked ahead of UGA?
They are clearly ahead of UGA because of a better record, but not in front of puppet master Nick Saban for the same reason.
These decisions really seem corrupt. Did Sankey pay the committee to put in Bama? Did he somehow use his power to threaten committee members?
Complete and total bullshite; glad this happened to FSU and not LSU.
