Just reading how UF is struggling...I was wondering if Muschamp would be a good fit at LSU at DC if he were fired from UF. That's assuming Chavis moved on

Yes but it would take a couple seasons for LSU to get the right players for the 3-4.

If Chavis wanted to hang it up, I'd take Muschamp. If Chavis wants to stay, stick with The Chief.

We ran a 4-3 when he was here before, who says he has to run a 3-4?

If we were looking for a new dc I'd definitely be pleased to have him. He is very passionate to say the least. LSU might benefit with that type of passion from a dc.

He was and prolly will always be my favorite defensive coordinator ever. He intensity and fire is something and someone you would love to play for as a defensive unit. His style is a little over the top for a head coach though.

Why would he take a step down and go from a HC to a Coordinator? If he gets fired he'll probably go be a DC in the NFL or take another HC job outside of the SEC.

Would agree, but even if he lands a job as a DC, he will look to try his hand at the head job again at some point.

Yes. Not sure I'd get rid of the Chief but they don't pay me to make those decisions.

I was in Florida this weekend and there is much negativity from the Gator fan base. His seat is a bit warm right now.

This is the correct reply. Great pedigree. Even more connections to FL and TX.

If someone closer to the situation could confirm seem to recall Muschamp being Les's first choice to replace Pelini. When Boom went west, Les made his all-time worst coaching move with Malleveto.

ETA: if this transpired it would be a HR hire IMO.

Let's not fill the diaper with shite just yet. Give the chief more time to work with the young players.

Why would Cam Cameron take a OC job at LSU? Why would Petrino leave the Falcons for Arkansas?

A DC position at a top SEC school would be ideal for him should he be fired.... NFL would be a dream for him too I could imagine.

I'd love to aek him as our DC..

I like Chief (sort of, not too crazy about his personlity, but let's forget that, I only know it from a few videos)...

But I am conviced that Chiefs MO is players make the defense, not the defense players....

And I think Muschamp and Saban have proved that their school of defense makes for greatness.

I am also buying into that Chief has lost too many games in the last 2 minutes based on his playcalling.
