6 years now, and 1 year of pro football during that time off. The college game has significantly changed.

Aside from NIL and transfer portal what are the significant changes in 6 years. It’s not like he’s been out of coaching for 20 years.

Washed up coaches are such a great idea for LSU! Urban could have Pelini as his DC; what could go wrong?

Are you assuming O's on staff as well to mandate Pelini install the attacking 4-man front?

Only 2 of the largest changes in college football history have happened over the last 4 years, not that big a deal

This isnt even including the 12 team playoff now as well.

NIL and the portal has significantly changed the landscape of CFB. Again, 2018 is a helluva lot different than 2024 in CFB nowadays.

The way you build (and maintain) a roster now compared to 6+ years ago is entirely different.

So you're saying he relates well to today's college athlete?

F YEAH!

Urban. Meyer
His teams are 99-20 in conference play with five championships

Meyer’s teams are 3-2 vs. the No. 1 team in the nation, 11-4 vs. Top 5 teams, 20-8 vs. Top 10 teams and 37-14 vs. Top 25 teams.
His teams are 45-4 when having more than one week to prepare for an opponent (includes season openers, games after “off” weeks and post-season games).
In first-time matchups vs. an opposing coach, Meyer’s teams are 94-15.

ALL the coaches are on the front end of this era. No coach has any more experience in a 12-team Playoff format than Urban has.

FTR. I don't know if I could handle Urban as my HC. He seems to be a dirt bag. However, I've listened to him on a couple of occasions and he understands what it takes to succeed in CFB

ahh somebody finally gets it as to why he "had" to leave UF. it sure as shite was not a "heart" issue. ask shelley meyer.

not his fault what some assistant did at OSU. urban retired from the OSU job.
