It should be grown by now they have drilled into our heads how the sport is growing in popularity every 4 years. I just don’t see it.
You're not looking then.
It's never going to be the NFL or NBA, or even MLB... but it is way more established and ingrained in America than it was just a decade ago.

Gee, you seem distraught. My opinion was not ignorant nor dumb at all, but thanks for your name calling. I simply said LSU fans, other than a small pocket, wouldn't support it, and I believe that.
Doesn't matter to me if they have a team or not. Now, I'll bow out of this discussion and let you all have at it.

Title IX is equal number of sports right? or is it scholarships?
LSU has more women's sports than men.

It's equal scholarships percentage wise to the population of your school. Every school with a football team has more women's teams.
Which I find ridiculous because there are no rules against women playing football.
ETA: I still don't understand how LSU hasn't added Bowling as women's sport to add the possibility of another men's sport.

I would love to see LSU Athletics give a pittance to the club sports. Rugby, Lacrosse, and Soccer. Any significant amount of varsity money and LSU could be a Top 10-20 team in any of these sports in couple of years. Heck, just letting the club sports have access to some of the lesser used training facilities would be a huge boost.
Rugby and Lacrosse already have very successful clubs despite being almost entirely self funded through dues and donation.
Seems like Soccer would do well; Lacrosse is booming at the high school level in the South; and Rugby is more accessible than ever due to the MLR and Olympic 7s.
But... none of this will happen with Title IX in place since LSU would have to add a corresponding women's sport to balance scholarships/funding. (I've always advocated that a varsity LSU Women's Rugby team would be a great compliment as they are also already established and successful.)
eta: That's not to mention the entire revenue sharing minefield that is starting. Much more likely to see athletic departments around the country cutting sports instead of adding.

There won't be any added college sports. There will be canceled college sports.

Only through the first half and only if we go to the championship every year.

Truly one of the worst sports to watch, ever.
I can’t force myself to watch any sport that ends in a 2-1 or 1-0 score. Same goes for hockey.
