After last night I think McMahon may be the better option. The future is very bright.

I you're asking if Wade were available would I want to fire Mcmahon the answer is no. Still remains to be seen if Mcmahon can consistently recruit top tier talent but if he can look out.

WW can pay for players under the table better than McM.

WW cannot coach. He is not a good x and o, game day coach.

It remains to be seen if WW can still recruit well in the age of NIL.

McM is good enough of a coach that we can always be a middle of the road, occasionally make the tournament kind of team, just on his coaching.

If we want to be more successful than that, we have to recruit better. Remains to be seen if McM can recruit better... and if LSU Boosters will pony up the NIL money needed for that to happen.

MM is respectable and seems to be a solid coach. Just keep improving and stay somewhat consistent. At the end of the day it’s just college basketball. No one really cares. Once baseball starts, basketball season is over

Please explain?

But to answer the OP, yes, I'd still take Wade back. Not because of any personal animus towards McMahon. But because Wade at LSU is a known commodity. For four straight seasons he had teams good enough to reach the NCAAT. Despite the last two wins, McMahon still has an overall losing record at LSU. Now, that doesn't mean these last two wins aren't the start of something big. Who knows? I surely hope so. But he has yet to win consistently at LSU for any length of time.

For today, based upon the KNOWN information at hand, I'd still take Wade because I have seen him win, consistently, at LSU. Of course, it would be GREAT if 3 years down the road and multiple NCAA Tournament appearances later that answer could be flipped.

You a fan of the 2019 LSU football team, the greatest of all time?

I am too. I'm so glad that team was put together purely, WITH ZERO ILLEGAL RECRUITING going on, like you know that really really really bad man Will Wade has to do in order to compete.

How in the fLuck do you function in life? Do you not understand how the real world works?

If McMahon truly is the boy scout when it comes to recruiting that your post seems to insinuate he is, get ready to start screaming for his head, because he WILL NOT win anything significant if he doesn't get dirty like all the other winners do.
