Golden Girl.

I never got the cheerleading thing. Why take a perfectly good girl, and throw her 20 ft into the air?

Neither. I would want her to concentrate on important things like school. Those girls are a joke.

Talent is something the Walrus obviously doesn't know shite about. After paying for 16 years of dancing school and national dance competitions, my daughter was honored to become a Golden Girl. But hard work, discipline, and sacrifice are traits the Walrus will never understand. The cheerleaders do the same in time and commitment as the Walrus sits back on his fat arse and criticizes LSU's finest. Get a life.

This is a question that may become moot anyways, since IIRC LSU cheerleaders tend to be under 5'5". And in most cases, well under.

The Golden Girls have a tight weight limit too

And LakeviewLSU, what have you ever done to represent LSU on a national level? You are the joke. Those girls are MD's, DDS's, PhD's, MBA's, and leaders in our community. I hope one of them gets to do a prostate exam on you someday. a-hole

Forget it they do not understand the time it takes and their academics have to be in order.

I paid tuition ,I got a degree. Why would I want to rep the school unless I was getting paid?

If it makes the girls feel good about themselves then ok. But Ithink its a huge waste of time. Dressing up in a dumb outfit and jumping around. The only people they are entertaining are the guys that want to plow them.

I would hope that a daughter of mine would be concentrating on more important things than entertaining a bunch of horn balls.

Some so called "fans" are a disgrace to LSU. They are our biggest obstacle in recruiting the best students and promoting higher education. They need to be called out for idle, ignorant comments. Remember their names the next time they post their bullshite.

Well , in this case I'd rather a cheerleader than a GG.

I'm all for promoting higher education.

Golden Girls promote higher education?

As a dad who put a daughter and a son through LSU, I fully appreciate the hard work and sacrifice it takes to be either, and I would not denigrate the accomplishment. My daughter was a cheerleader in HS and had the looks and talent to at least tryout for GG or cheerleader at LSU.

She asked me about it, I told her I'd support whatever she wanted to do, but I thought college was the time to set her own mark instead of celebrating the accomplishments of others. She didn't do either and put her time into her studies, she published her 4th book last year and is a celebrity in her field.

It's a personal decision, no answer is for everyone.
