She asked me about it, I told her I'd support whatever she wanted to do, but I thought college was the time to set her own mark instead of celebrating the accomplishments of others. She didn't do either and put her time into her studies, she published her 4th book last year and is a celebrity in her field.

I guess I should have stated my argument in a more constructive manner like this.

How about supporting LSU students and faculty in whatever endeavor they choose, whether athletics, dancing, or biochemistry. I really don't understand people who take every opportunity to cut someone down for no reason.

So let me get this straight LakeviewLSU. You think our band, our athletes, our team managers, etc should all get paid for representing the school they love? You are one sick person and I am wasting my time on the likes of you. I feel sorry for your kids.

The band is playing music. That is legitimate entertainment.

But Iguess you are right, the GG do have a place with the band and make it a better visual spectical., but cheerleaders? Come on

Scholarships are earned. It's not a salary. Did you ever get a scholarship? If you don't have kids, you haven't even earned the right to have an opinion on this subject. How old are you anyway?16?

Your opinion is ignorant at best.

There is nothing wrong with a young lady participating in cheerleading or dancing. It's not mutually exclusive to doing well in school and having academic success. Just because your lacking brain thinks they're just eye candy means jack shite. All women are eye candy to men at times regardless of what they wear or do. It's a simple and shallow mind that makes an opinion based just on that.

Aren't cheerleaders just dancers gone retarded?

Just kidding. I would support my daughters if they did either.

I never got the cheerleading thing. Why take a perfectly good girl, and throw her 20 ft into the air?

You have no perspective and are ignorant. You should shut up.

If you had sons/daughters, you would want them to be well rounded and successful. Some jackwagon without any ties to a subject is spewing his misinformed and ill-willed opinion on what is a good option for someone else's daughters extracurricular endeavors.

Stupid fricks with no perspective that need to share their "wisdom" piss me off to no end.

So I have a different opinion of well rounded and successful than you do. No reason to get hostile.

I would consider something like.........learning another language ,as a better use of my free time in college

As opposed to men playing football or basketball or baseball.

I'm hostile because you continue to post on a subject you have no clue about. I would say make some babies and you will look at men/women/achievements/interests differently, but then again we have enough ignorant dumbfricks in the gene pool already.

Are GGs and cheerleaders receiving eeducation benefits from participating? If so then I stand corrected. If not, I don't see the point.

I stand corrected. LakeviewLSU must be much younger than 16. It's past your bedtime little guy. Now stop bothering mature adults who have real jobs.
