Definitely some weird stuff up there over the years
Purple pants
Needing the bluegrass miracle
2007
Boutte’s ankle
UK seems to start slow, so LSU getting off to a quick start will bode well.

Blake Baker really concerned about the Joe Sloan factor.

If you think a Blake Baker defense is gonna have problems with a Joe Sloan offense than I want the number to your weed guy, please.

Not really concerned about that but given how well they know each other there’s some interesting cat/mouse potential on both sides.

People forget that the year before the Bluegrass Miracle we needed a very late (inside 1 minute as I recall) TD pass from Rohan to Clayton to avoid a loss.

People keep talking about Sloan running that offense. THis is Will Steins offense and he will change the call if he thinks Sloan is screwing up.
With that said, this will be a quality test against a solid offense. We better be ready because UK and Stein will be ready and have had this game circled. I think CLK has this team locked in and won't let them relax.

Tyson Jackson’s personal foul penalty was a huge reason LSU lost in 2007.

Ever since I can remember (80's) UK has played LSU tough always

As well as the Keith Zinger dropped TD pass in the back of the EZ that would have given us a 2 score lead.

Kentucky is the great road game to go to, but we always seem to struggle with them up there

Defense travels.
The most disappointing part of the OM game was how passive LSU's defensive approach was in the 1st half. It was as if LSU was terrified to rush Chambliss and did not trust its secondary could hold up one-on-one vs. the OM receivers. Once they realized they were a good defense it was a totally different game in the second half.
Yes, Kentucky's QB has been solid. Yes, for whatever reason, LSU hasn't played well in the few times they've traveled to Lexington this century. But you are a damn good defense against a Joe Sloan offense. Come out and challenge UK and trust the back end to hold up

Wonder if it is because our players get a sample of that “Blue grass” before the game?

All together now, “IT’S WILL STEIN’S OFFENSE”…..
Attributing Kentucky’s O to Joe Sloan, is like saying any of the DCs Saban had were running their own defensive format

0:13 remaining on the clock when Clayton made the catch, which led to a 29-25 Tiger win.
Now why did we play Kentucky up there two years in a row?
