WR 01 Ja’Marr Chase 6-1, 200, SO
17 Racey McMath 6-3, 221, JR
05 Davonta Lee 6-1. 223, FR

WR 06 Terrace Marshall, Jr. 6-4, 200, SO
19 Derrick Dillon 5-11, 186, SR
83 Jaray Jenkins 6-4, 195, RSFR

WR 02 Justin Jefferson 6-2, 192, JR
33 Trey Palmer 6-1, 180, FR
13 Jontré Kirklin 6-0, 185, JR

There ... we can see better ...

Nahhhhhhhhhh ... I wait my turn behind Chase and McMath and shoot for the spots opened when Jefferson & Dillon leave ... He’s gonna rock in the 2021 season with Myles in his Senior year ... Yeah that’s his pro ticket!!!

This,... and look at Duvernay and what he did. That dude looked like a LB and our DB's couldn't stop him. Lee fits that mold.

I've been saying since I saw his play in HS he needs to be a TE.

There are no pro WR or TE’s built like him, and for a reason. You come to LSU to go to the next level. He’s defense all the way.

Lol there are no 6'2 220 pound NFL WRs. I think his frame could hold more weight. If he grew a little. 6'3 240 Lbs TE with elite ball skills. Very realistic.

Would love to see him move to defense especially with the wideouts we have coming in (tentatively) next season.

He’s equivalent to JaCoby Stevens at WR average at best he needs to play safety

You might want to confirm if he likes tackling before you start this thread.

Any of you guys ever heard of Steve Smith, Height: 5 ft 9 in Weight: 195 lb
Sometimes you try so hard.

Steve Smith was 5’9” 184 as a college SR

How is that body type the same as 6’0 225?

What am I missing?

He's 6'1"...tops.

He could be a perfect OLB at 6'1" 235 and top notch athleticism.

He doesn't have an NFL WR or TE frame or body and doubtful he'll grow height at this age.

Jacoby is like 6'3" and much more rangy. And dominated at WR at UA All American practices.

I like his position now, so don't get me wrong, but his body type translated FAR BETTER into WR than Devonta Lee.

Dude, Steve Smith was 5'9" 185 lbs and ran a 4.39/4.41 at the combine.

Devonta Lee is much thicker and is not going to run that kind of time.

I will never say that Devonta can't be an NFL WR, but his measurables/skill set certainly translate better to being an OLB at the next level. Who knows, maybe he can be an anomaly, but it isn't a great idea to bet on an anomaly happening.

Perhaps you've heard of Anquan Boldin who is one of the best WRs of all time

Best comparison for sure, but I think Anquan was only 215 when he was a college senior. And he was an anomaly for the position.

Devonta is 225 as a freshman.

By all means though, if Devonta is that special at WR then do it.

Don't know why he would have a problem with it.

He needs to do what's best for him. All this talk of the team is bullshite, and it would be wise to remember the words of Ayne Rand, "It stands to reason when there is sacrifice there is someone collecting the sacrificed offerings. When there is service there is someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice and service is speaking of slaves and masters...and intends to be the master."

Now, what were we talking about Devonta sacrificing?

Another example would be David Boston

He had a rather short lived prime but he was very good for a couple years in the NFL

Lets say Jefferson goes pro. The WR room looks like this:

Jamar Chase
Terrace Marshall
Racey McMath
Trey Palmer
Jaray Jenkins
*Koy Moore
*Kayshon Boutte (sp?)
*Jermain Burton
*Rakim Jarrett

Maybe he looks at that list and thinks, "I should be number one out of that group." And if so, maybe he's right.
