Not even close. Norte Dame 1997 Game 1. Cold and rainy and I just sat there and took it. Similarly, LSU just stood out on the field and took it.

Not Even close? Were you at all of the games mentioned to compare? I was at the 88 Miami game, the 92 tamu game, the 2005 tenn game, and the 97 ND game. What wasn’t close was the fact that the 88 Miami game had thousands of people in fear of being yanked out of the stadium by strong winds with sideways rain WHILE being miserable. The 97 ND game was people bundled up whining about a little cold rain. That was NOTHING. The 92 tamu game you felt like you couldn’t take enough clothes off nor drink enough water. THAT was much worse than the 97 ND game. “Not even close”....my arse

Definitely the 88 Miami game - never been that wet in Tiger Stadium, it was a monsoon.

For baseball, the 90 regional at the Box when that wicked weather came through postponing the last game of regional against USC. Blew part of the fence down in RF. Gave LSU some much needed rest and came back and beat USC the next day to advance to Omaha.

I remember it absolutely pouring for the FSU game in 1991. Actually saw a guy running to his car and fall into a ditch that was filled with rain water. He went completely under.

Gotta be Western Kentucky a few years back. Was pouring down raining the whole tailgate and never stopped. Whole field was under water basically and the guys on the cheer team were surfing on their boards they use for cheering.

Slow down, weather rock! I was responding to the OP saying 2005 Tenn game was the worst. I was there and the 97 ND game was by far the worse than that. The stairs were waterfalls and rows standing water. The game sucked as we pushed all over the field and I was drenched head-to-toe and cold.

I was not at 88 UM or 92 aTm so, I will take your word on it.
