Can someone list the rankings since 2005... I’m curious, because if that’s true then I think it speaks volumes about the state of the program
I was expecting to find things in shambles but maybe the feelings of losing Surtain last minute are clouding things.
We DEFINITELY signed less top 200 players than normal. We signed 3 and that's only happened 1 other time since 2005.
Our other low finishes in that regard were 4,6, and 7 (although those were awhile ago and I don't know if I trust 247 back that far).
But those 4 years were the only times we've signed less than 9 top 200 players so that's certainly not good.
our player average was lower in 6 other classes. even though our team ranking was overall higher.
So yeah.. it's not the best.. but it's not the worst..
The problem comes back to O and if he can't sign top 5 classes then what can he do. The (legitimate) feeling is we might as well be 50 if we're 15 in the SEC west.

1 spot below '08 & '12. Not what u wanna see but def not doomsday. Settle down. Why do yall overreact so much? If I would have to guess we would have just lost 6 games and not have a TOP 25 recruiting class.

This is the most telling. The 2 years after NC we could even get 10 top. WTF
2008, not sure what happened. LA didnt return to normal level of high rated prospects until 2011. But 2012 was a solid class you have to remember you signed a punter that was no stars and a long snapper that was a 2 star and fehoko was a 2 star. Those will drag your overall ranking down.
and of course both of those years teams ahead of us were signing 30+ guys.

TOP 25 recruiting class.
woohoo
it’s not like we’re accustomed to finishing in the top 5 or anything.

Yes.. I'm replying to myself, but this brings up something.
I know that there have always been the "haves" and the "have nots" in every aspect of life including football. but I wonder if the distribution of top talent has changed significantly.
IE. I wonder what percentage of 5 stars are left after Ohio State, Georgia, Alabama, and Clemson. Is that percentage lower than in 2010 for example? My guess would be a resounding yes.

A top 25 finish these days in football is something we should hold a parade and print top 25 T-shirts.

Time for O to go.

You give Bebe too much credit. LSU hasn;t had a worse class in 16 years.
Props to Oneofus for conquering the unimaginable.

LSU now move down to #15 with A&M right behind us

Worst loss to State ever, first loss to Sun Belt team ever, worst recruiting class in 16 years. 0 is really blazing a trail of incompetence and failure.

Worst class in 16 years.
2002.

That was truly a terrible class. Only like 4 major contributors from that class.

2012 was #13 but wasn't horrible at all.
Kwon,Debo, Danielle Hunter, Daval Alexander, Jeremy Hill, Corey Thompson, Travin Dural, Jalen Mills
Class of 2012 ranked #13 in the nation
