I’m not sure what it is but we did not show up to play. Our defensive effort is absolutely terrible. Everyone is standing around on the offensive side of the ball. Very disappointed that this team will finish the year this way. They look like a Johnny Jones coached team right now.

You must have missed the games vs ND and Marquette.

If you can shoot and run a competent offense, you can destroy this LSU team. They are generally clueless on defense. But throw in the poor effort that we are seeing tonight and it spells disaster

I agree there were some big holes in the team through out the year. But, with the exception of a few games, this team never lacked effort. Right now it looks like a bunch of players that haven’t seen minutes all year. We haven’t got the first loose ball in the first half. I haven’t seen the first player on the floor trying to get a loose ball. It just does not look like the high energy/high effort team that has been playing throughout the SEC.

Utah shot 71% in the first qtr. They made everything including a few they didn't intend to shoot. Might not be out best effort but they were unconscious.

No question the effort has been bad, but I think some of it has to do with LSU being clueless on D. They are hesitant and not sure where to run. Utah is moving the ball and LSU is lost.

Now to be fair, Epps and Reath have been lost their entire careers on defense. That's not going to change in what is likely their final game.

We can hang in iso situations most of the time because we do have guys that can guard. Once teams start running shite, pnr, and put us in multiple rotations it’s over. Still can’t believe we beat Michigan

Just a normal road game performance for WW. Worried about this problem on the road.

We just don’t match up well with certain teams. We are okay defensively, but depth kills them.

They were taking uncontested shots. Any team can make the majority of their shots when there isn't a person defending them.

I have always been supportive of LSU sports, even when they play like garbage or coaches make horrible decisions. And there has been very, very few times I actually felt completely embarrassed and ashamed to call myself an LSU Tiger fan. LSU players and coaches represent more than the fans, or the school or their self or their family, they represent the entire state of Louisiana. Tonight was one of those rare times I feel embarrassed to be an LSU fan. Getting beat like this at the end of the season when you should be playing your best is shameful. I've had the utmost respect for Will Wade since he has been at LSU, but this loss is a total failure from the head coach down to the walk-on players. There was no heart on that court tonight, no soul, nothing.

altitude is no joke out there! Not the only reason for the beat down, but there is a reason Utah rarely loses at home

Regardless of recent revelations that 2 of LSU's best players were sick, I still feel some of the other players did not play as well as they could have. But, I must retract my previous comment relating to my shame and embarrassment being an LSU fan. When a program doesn't have a lot of talent to begin with, and 2 of it's best players are sick, it isn't uncommon to get beat down by a team (Utah) that is playing it's best. Will Wade has done an amazing job since he has been at LSU and he will continue to take this program to the top. Wade told his players, "the Calvary is coming!" And indeed it is. Naz Reid, Javonta Smart, Darius Days and Emmitt Williams and possibly one more. Those along with Bigby-Williams and the Calvary is intact and their foes will tremble.

They played in Utah. Elevation takes a toll on those who are not use to it. That is why they were sucking wind all game.
