Stop bashing. It's Friday, go grab a cold one and think of good things.

Definitely Harris/Jennings. Johnson played well statistically and won a few big games.

Max lowkey had one of the better statistical seasons by an LSU QB ever in 2021.

No look pass vs UCLA notwithstanding.

Max also couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn versus Bama @ Tuscaloosa. If he makes one decent throw then we win that game

Max Johnson threw 27 Tds as a sophmore. Thisnis where he stands in our records books

6th All Time in career TDs
4th All Time Single Season Tds
toes for 3rd in single game Tds (5)

Brandon harris threw 21 Career Tds
Anthony Jennings threw 23 Career TDs

I dont think Max Johnson is a world beater but he’s on another planet than Jennings and Harris

I don't know... It has a lot to do with the offenses they were in. If you swap the HC/offenses they ran, it's closer than you think.

Max was so bad in that Bama game, I had forgotten he even played in the game until you mentioned it. My mind just blocked it all out, as if no one played quarterback that night, which is pretty close to the truth.

Johnson/Finley also had Myles Brennan in the room.

I still think Ensminger doesn’t get enough credit for how the 2020 offense performed with his options at QB.

No it's not. Those are the 2 worst LSU quarterbacks of the 21st century by a long shot. People try to throw Jordan Jefferson in with them and it's a crime.

Here are their post LSU numbers

Brandon Harris (UNC)
35/71 (49.3 %) with 346 yards, 1 TD and 8 interceptions

Anthony Jennings (ULL)
193/323 (59.8%) with 2178 yards, 11 TD and 13 interceptions

While at LSU Harris was terrible and Jennings was somehow significantly worse.

Did a doubletake here, but I see you're including his ULL numbers. Thought you meant career at LSU.

Harris in that Wisconsin game had me walking the neighborhood looking for puppies to kick. He was god awful that game.

Harris/Jennings for sure. But the person who benefited from that the most was Fournette. He was basically our offense for the 2015 season with Harris at QB. I remember when Mett went down before the Iowa bowl game and Jennings got the call to start. He stunk so bad which enabled Jeremy Hill to have probably one of his best games.

It's crazy how bad we were during the Miles years on offense. Sometimes I'll go back and watch those games and just marvel at how little we did on offense and yet most of the times it was JUST enough to eek out a win.
