Graves loved BR and LSU enough to gamble on himself and gamble on a business right next door to LSU’s campus. I bartended right next door to the Cane’s 1 location for years and kinda wishing I had walked next door and learned how to whip up some tenders and sauce.
TLDR: Graves is definitely a Tiger.

I'm fine with him being fired. My concern is a puppet being installed in his place. If you think it is bad to hand out large contracts that we season ticket holders don't have to pay off, wait until we have some guy going on the cheap like Joe Dean used to do.
I'm hoping OP is right, but my credible sources are expecting the next football hire to be some low to mid level guy making about $4-5M year b/c that is what Landry is pushing for. Hopefully someone can convince him to shut his damn mouth and back off.

Graves went to Episocal and those kids very frequently leave the state for college. Just like Holden Spaht. Graves is an LSU guy and gives a lot. He isn't as as outward in his giving as people want b/c he has businesses in just about every college town we compete in.

I am far less upset over Woodward getting fired as I am with the absurdly embarrassing manner in which all of this has been done, but most especially from Governor Landry on down.
I’m just not sure the average LSU fan truly comprehends just how much we have shown our behinds to the rest of the country. What we like to refer to as a stereotypical mischaracterization of Louisiana has just been shown to have truth to it. Make no mistake about it, we look like the antithesis of professionals. We are being laughed at by the entire country, and especially those in the SEC who are lapping this up.

THIS. Someone needs to keep the GOV off talk radio and other sports shows. Give him some blocks to play with and let the adults move forward with hiring a new AD & HC. The more this guy talks, the more challenging it will become for LSU to hire the right people to lead this program. Talk about undue, unwanted AND unneeded influence.
