I think once Kenny Hilliard shined, he lost his groove, and his spot.

Ware is our fourth best back.... and that's sayin alot. He runs with his eyes down and does not see the field. The other guys have better vision, plain and simple.

truth. but he is still a damn good back and could easily start anywhere else in the country and be "the man"...IMO Hilliard is the most complete back and can do it all

Take away a passing threat and you have stacked boxes and extra men clogging the lanes...

...and yet somehow, the spin moves he pulls off-with his eyes looking down-work very well. He must have some sort've ESP that allows him to sense when he needs to do this, of course.

Go look at the West Virginia & Tennessee game-tapes and give me some more takes about him running with his head down. LOL.

Ford, Hilliard, and Blue managed.

Go watch the first few games. He was never great to begin with.

he tends to take the handoff and put his head down as soon as the ball is in his hands

Other backs, first full season playing. Lets not forget the kid played qb in high school and is on the baseball team. He prob just wore down.

And Our running game was still shitty in the transition, not just ware.

I think the emergence of Hilliard took snaps from him.

I'm not doubting that ware works his tail off in conditioning and practice, but I think he could stand to lose a few pounds. Think he would be a better back.

Was it monty ball that dropped a lot of weight, or was it a diff guy? Either way the kid has his best season yet and om pretty sure it was ball.

I see Hilliard as potentially being one of the best backs to come out of LSU. The kid has not even shown a small portion of what he will bring to the running attack. He will be the guy people key on, just like Richardson at Bama, and very difficult to stop. Let's just see how it plays out. Unfortunately, I remember "Cecil the Diesel".

Our running game destroyed everybody except Alabama.

I think I am a pretty optimistic person but I don't understand why people are so quick to judge young players on limited carries. It isn't just Hilliard but OBJ also.

I just wonder if lack of speed will hinder Hilliard against speedy SEC defenses.

First seven games playing exclusively with Lee he was a bull, played great. He was never the same once Jefferson began playing. Whats up with that.

I don't have any statistics to back this up, but I'd say the box was stacked more often with JJ in the game. That's when Ware started to kind of fall back from his normal routine. When Lee was in it was obviously more of a pass threat and the defense had to spread the field. I am not turning this into another JJ/JL thread, it just pertains to Ware.

You can see special things in limited carries/touches. Those 2 are special.
