First seven games playing exclusively with Lee he was a bull, played great. He was never the same once Jefferson began playing. Whats up with that.

I agree. He probably needs to get into better shape.

Some say wore down because of his violent style. Not sure I believe that, he split a lot of carries.

Dude ate himself out of the starting line up. Needs to put down the pot and donuts and start busting his arse..

Combination of being a better fit for the type of running we did more with Lee in at the beginning, being worn down by the end of the year, and maybe a little bit being in Miles' doghouse after Spicegate.

Quit smoking the fake weed. He was never the same after the suspension.

i just dont think hes a natural power RB. hes a bulked up former QB who looks for contact instead of daylight. hilliard looks like a guy whos run the ball 1000 time between the tackles in high school and knows what to look for.

if ware wants to crack skulls, he needs to play FB

He's not an option tailback. Hilliard at the FB in the option gave us more multiple looks, & also Hilliard may have been grumbling about a lack of PT about midway through the year.

The suspension for synthetic mariganja, coupled with our shift in philosophy, along with taking a pretty good beating thanks to his running style provided a good excuse for the staff to start giving Hilliard some carries.

Like I heard on the radio earlier this morning...watch who LSU lines up at Fullback early in their careers. This is their way of rewarding the young cats they feel have promise with PT.

Hester, Scott, Ridley, Ware, Hilliard...Its a pattern.

Remember Hilliard got carries out of the FB spot against Oregon in Dallas to start the year.

I look for a Hilliard/Hill combination to start off early for our I-formations & run-heavy packages/short yardage situations. It'll be a giveaway as to the kind of potential the staff feels Jeremy Hill has.

Given that so many athletes use marijuana for pain relief (as opposed to more addictive pills and such), I really do wonder if not smoking might have affected his physical recovery from week to week.

So we are now blaming Jefferson for the drop off in Ware's production.

The reality is he got beat out by fresher legs. Hilliard started getting the carries Ware got at the beginning of the season, Blue and Ford are different types of runners so their production didn't fall.

How on earth did you interpret that from what I said?

Dude hit his peak at @ Tenn. Some of the runs he ripped off that game was flat out sick.

After his suspension, he never seemed to be the same.

I hope he can return to form next year.

The spring competition between the backs will be filthy. Six guys all pretty good and all wanting to be the man.
