I saw a interview they did with all 3 of the Jefferson Brothers including Ricky and they have a big sibling rivalry. I think they are each 4 years apart. It was actually pretty cool. Competitive, but seems like they are very close.

Jordan still owns the most wins over Alabama in the Jefferson household. I'm sure he brings that up at the Thanksgiving table.

Joe Burrow would be Mett 2.0 if Les was still here. Not saying JJ could run this offense, but no one had a chance in that system.

Also the only one to have an SEC championship so far. Still work to be done. Some people dooms day prepping and some here acting like we can’t be heartbroken like 2011 again

JJ didn't play that full season and was just awful in the SECCG. Hard to give him credit for that.

What if I were to show you these stats? 182-296 (61.5% completion percentage), 2,166 yards, 17TD-7INT and a 137.2 QB rating. These were JJ's stats in 2009, which was maybe the last year that Miles let Crowton run less run heavy sets. I think the 2008 season, coupled with the Ole Miss Clock issue in 2009, then the 2010 TENN game, all had an impact on JJ, since it had an impact on Miles, which then impacted the offensive scheme and got more and more run heavy.

JJ's sophomore stats were not bad but as Miles got further into his tenure, the offense became more run formation sets, i.e. I formation (2 backs) or 2TE-1Back set (with no passing to the TE's) and that constrained the development of all QB's under Miles and the offense.

I don't think JJ, J. Lee, Mett, Jennings, Harris or Etling are in Joe B's league, but I do think a better offensive scheme under Miles could have allowed all of those guys to perform at a higher level than what they did.

J. Lee...

Fun fact... If I recall correctly, J Lee had the highest QB passing efficiency in the SEC in 2011

2011 SECCG, JJ was 5-13, 30 yards, 1 td.

He threw for 35 yards in the BCSCG

Can't remember what week, maybe after the Auburn game, Lee had 13 tds and 1 int. Alabama game messed him up and convinced Miles to stick with JJ since he could run the option.

The ending was a beautiful thing

Ultimately, I think this is what Got J. Lee out of starting job in 2011. Right or wrong, this was it.

2008 stats vs. Alabama 13-34 181 yards, 1 TD- 4INT
2009 stats vs Alabama 4-10 44 yards 0 TD - 1 INT
2010 stats vs. Alabama 4-7 67 yards 0 TD-0 INT
2011 stats vs. Alabama 3-7 24 yards 0 TD - 2 INT

So collectively, 24-58 for 41.4% completion, 1 TD and 7 INT.

Jefferson stats vs. Alabama

2009 10-17 114 yards 1 TD-0 INT
2010 10-13 141 yards 1 TD-0 INT
2011 6-10 67 yards 0 TD - O INT

Collectively, 26-40 (65% completion), 2 TDs and 0 INT.

So just looking at who played better vs. Alabama, it was JJ. The stats are the stats.

Now, how well Miles game planned for the rematch game, that is the a different question. It seemed like they thought they could run the option game against them as if that would not be game plan 1 by Saban to stop.

Not interested in re-litigating the 2011 season, Miles, JJ and J. Lee, but the evidence is pretty clear that JJ played better vs. Saban's D than Lee.
