Women’s volleyball season over

had a friend eith a daughter on the team...said lsu likes the coach .....she runs a clean program and they are ok with results versus money invested...

... i am impressed how lsu stepped right up with beach volleyball and it is a top program..no reason we can not do that with some of the others like this...

Seems like the athletic director would evaluate all the coaches and get their respective teams to be the best they can be year-in and year-out. It’s sad that women’s volleyball has been average for so long. It’s a great sport. If LSU could ever field a championship team they would fill up the PMAC similar to gymnastics IMHO.

I will tell you that my kid really wanted to go to LSU for volleyball but Flory never offered even though she watched her play a lot. All she ended up doing is setting all-time digs record at another university.

Perhaps she is not astute at evaluating talent? That’s a MAJOR criteria for any coach that actually has won a championship. She seems to be a very good coach but as we all know you have to have the talent as well. C’est La Vie.

Flory used to be solid but it’s been a decade of meh.

She needs better facilities but this isn’t a DD Breaux situation where the program was competitive but she had shite facilities. Flory doesn’t even have us in the tournament.

Dude, what? Nikki needs to be fired, that's true, but the other women's teams have been pretty solid. Gymnastics has been elite, softball has been solid, beach volleyball is amazing, track team is great...the women are generally doing fine at LSU.

Fran has recruited and developed multiple kids into professional players.

The issue is she can’t get enough talent to come to LSU. For the last six years she has had at least one great, all-conference, all American player. She just has not been able to surround that person with the talent needed to make a run.

She made some pretty poor choices as assistant coaches but has two very good ones now. Hopefully the momentum will start to build as this young team should be pretty competitive in future seasons.

There’s talent on the roster, she just needs more to get back to where they were in the early 00’s

Definitely not trying to crap on his daughter but LSU has a history of building the best Liberos in the SEC and sometimes the country.

10years ago Elena Martinez was (and still is) the best Libero I’ve ever seen live. She got an invite to tryout for the National team and played on their A2 (if memory serves me)
