Nelson Stokley #14

I actually found a picture I took of Stokley with other members of the offensive team during picture day prior to the 1968 Sugar Bowl held at Tulane. I sent the picture in a tweet to Brandon Stokley his son (former NFL star and now in broadcasting). He tweeted back “how cool”.

My father met Bert in Baton Rouge when I was about 10-11 and got a personalize autograph when he was playing with the Colts. I still have this autograph.

Idealization is a psychological or mental process of attributing overly positive qualities to another person or thing. It's a way of coping with anxiety in which an object or person of ambivalence is viewed as perfect, or as having exaggerated positive qualities.

It's common with borderline personality disorder for a person to idealize a friend, family member, or loved one.

This thread is an epic failure.

what a team 1969 Tigers. Lost to Ole Miss by 3; and then excluded from Cotton Bowl as Notre Dame changed post season play policy. They played Texas for the National Championship I believe. LSU was so upset, the team voted to stay home instead of playing in a lower ranked bowl. Can you imagine ?
