I had absolutely zero interest in football or college sports in general as a young kid but my grandpa instilled a love of baseball (mostly the Braves) in me at a young age. In N. La. We got games on KWKH AM. Good station, but AM.
My cousins and I would listen and they would celebrate the achievements of Jerry Snowball!
I was a kid, but read the papers and knew better.
But we had some red neck loyalists in these parts mighty proud of Mr. Snowball...
