Orgeron is an average coach at best...nothing more... His 10-21 record, or whatever it was at Miss., indicates that ...enough said.

Who is the other team trying to stop in the passing game?

Marshall

Who is still scoring two TDs a game and killijg it every week?

Marshall

Idk about you but I would think the passing game coordinator is doing a good job of scheming to get his best player (by a mile) the ball

I didn’t expect to repeat as SEC or national champs.

But I did expect better than losing to Mississippi State and Missouri

Two of the best and brightest NFL offensive minds are Linehan's age, not sure what age has to do with anything.

This is one of the weirdest LSU fan hangups I've ever seen.

It’s because a ton of folks think Ensminger didn’t do anything last year. They think it was 100% Joe Brady, therefore they think whoever took Brady’s place as PGC is the new de-facto OC.

I can’t help but wonder how many of our fans realize that Linehan is the 5th LSU coach to have the title of “passing game coordinator” since 2011.

Brady was not co-oc. Prove to me BO is the cause of poor play and the players are not busting assignments every other play. I tend to think it is more the latter and not the former.

LSU has many people who assist in development of the offensive players and defensive players, it’s not any one person. LSU seems to have lost a lot on the defensive side.

Our offense has looked amazing and it’s a little to early to throw in the towel on Pelini. We weren’t great on defense early last year either and except for burrow perfomances could have lost a couple last year as well. We are young and getting better.

I’m not throwing in the towel on Pelini but there’s better be some massive improvement.

You're more patient than I am.

He doesn't utilize the talent he has. Instead of cultivating it, he hollers and yells and all that stuff and sometimes, you need a fire lit, but it's obvious that something is going on.

We have pretty much no rush defense, people are out of position A LOT, poor tackling, some players that lit it up last year on defense have now regressed. And it's not one game where they look like that. It's unfortunately pretty often.

We improved some in the USCe game but still no run D and getting burned on things. Good thing Hill is not a very good QB.

Pelini doesn't adjust. He just continues with what isn't working.

He's paid a ton to put a good defense out there. Am I expecting a defense that will get us to the playoffs? No but I am expecting him to put out a defense that is an LSU defense. I haven't seen an LSU defense look like this is a long, long time.

I expected they would at least beat the 2 worst teams in each division and split vs good teams.

i was told linehan did the red zone and third down calls. outside of south carolina it's been abysmal in those areas.

That's my problem with pelini.
He doesn't seem to adjust.

This defense isn't as talented as some claimed.
We have a couple really good players and the rest are average at best.

It's a combination of players and pelini. I didn't like the pelini hire but I don't think they fire him, unless it starts looking like miss st again

What did I expect? We had a lot of returning players on defense and the D looks lost and like total shite. Offense I thought would take a step back some but still put up points. They have been about as good as I thought.

Arky has a new DC with 2 and 3 star players and they look much better. Tells me it’s coaching.

Preparation is the key, the preparation of the offensive players is evident, not so with the defense. Can someone explain?

I expected A step back in defense but I didnt Expect the issue to be our secondary looking so clueless.

I dont Get why that has regressed so much as it was really one of the only units returning players.

Agree. The play of the secondary really is the biggest shock. IMO.

How about we stop basing our DC search on what guys did as DC 10-15 years ago?

I expect O to hire great new coordinators.

Saban has to change coordinators frequently, and they don't bitch about it. They just keep marching on.

This year is going to have an asterisk anyway, but I get what you're trying to say...

that's true, but Alabama, Clemson, etc. don't seem to be treating this as an asterisk season.
