Is it too early for a coaches changes board? I would imagine things will be heating up all over. Not just LSU.

LSU must do what it takes to keep this recruiting class. If that is fire coaches now or fire them after signing day is the question. There is no possible way you can keep these coaches after this dismal performance.

Maybe unfortunately. But it all starts at the top. People don’t want excuses when you’re making that kind of cabbage. Especially when you look around and see others doing more with less. Yes it has affects on the human side of it but that goes with the territory of the coaching profession. College football is a big time business, we all know that and when you’re not getting it done, well you get cut. Hard truth.

Aranda is more than likely eyeing an NFL job, not staying in college.

He might make more money coming back to LSU as a DC

He won't be a coordinator in the NFL. I don't see a situation where he'd make more money than at LSU.

I understand why, but if USC snags up Leonard first , it will be disappointing.

Aranda would be a good DC at USC but knowing Riley he will hire a WR coach who can moonlight as a DC

What does it accomplish by firing House now? You want Bob Diaco or John Jancek calling the defense the rest of the year?

You let House move on in the offseason and handle it the right way.

There's really no advantage to firing him now. Your not hiring a DC at this point in the season. It will probably be the same as Miles and many coaches have done. Let them know behind the scenes your gonna move on and let them find a landing spot

It would show recruits that Kelly is serious about fixing the defense and about demanding jt player development as a major expectation.

Instead, you will lose out on recruits that see him blame players for everything that is a coaching failure across the board. Not firing him till later made some sense before the early signing period was a thing. Now 90% or more of your class signs in the early signing period, so it does matter.

Quit fricking playing Perk out of position.
Matt House has or has allowed someone else RUIN the effectiveness of Perkins.
For this reason alone: FIRE HIM TODAY

Do you believe that discussions can't be had about his replacement behind the scenes before he's fired?

Do you believe that recruits aren't told much more information than we are?

Miles and others did it for years. Have the coach look for a landing spot while they work behind the scenes on the replacement and informing recruits about those replacements.

People keep spouting this vs without actually knowing what they are talking about.

I've watched Perkins get manhandled all year when he is used to rush the passer, also watched his improve in coverage to the point he was one of the top cover guys we have had at times.

He can't play out of position when he doesn't have an actual position.

He is and will be a tweener and will have to do multiple things at the next level.

I already know I'm gonna hear how it doesn't matter what he does at the next level, and as a fan I'm right there with you but as a coach Kelly has to worry about that. When he starts losing recruits because LSU doesn't care about developing them for the next level, you will care too and bitch about it.

Reality is, players only care about their NFL future and will go where thr staff has that in mind.

So what do we do. Wait till we have good players and have same result before we get the captain obvious moment that it’s the coaches?

If BK brings back house you have to question if he can win a title

I can agree with Kelly keeping House till the bowl game. After that if Kelly does Not fire Matt House I'm through with Kelly also.

I think early signing day is much more important than a bowl game. Need a new defensive staff in place to kill any uncertainty in the program heading into ESD. If House isn't released after the A&M game, he won't be. The month period from November 26 through December 20 will be vital for any new coaches to hit the ground running and hopefully tie up any lose ends in the recruiting class.
