They have a good offense that recruits for what they do and plays to their strengths. LSU under miles doesn't want to do that.

Fournette will suffer for it.

Every single time, during the Rose Bowl, the Heisman was discussed LF was brought up. The award isn't going to be handed over to anyone.

I'm a fan of McCaffery but I'd like to see McCaffery vs the Alabama "D" before I'd make the comparison.

I suspect that if LSU had a quarterback that was a consistent threat to hit a wide open receiver, then Fournette would have no problem in matching or surpassing McCaffery's production in total offense.

Can you imagine LF being used the way Stanford uses McCaffrey? It would be ridiculously fun to watch.

We do realize they're 2 completely different types of players, why we use LF the same way Stanford uses McCaffrey? That makes no sense.

The 2 players average just about the same amount of touches from scrimmage fwiw.

Although I would like to differ, I agree. Being that McCaffrey handles most of the punts and kickoffs and plays a vital role in the offense, he will likely have a lot more touches than Fournette next year. Not to mention, there's a good change Guice takes some of Fournette's carries next year.

I'm as big a McCaffrey fan as there is, but his ypc against Pac 12 opponents was less than 4.0.
By my count in PAC 12 games...1629 yards on 260 carries, 6.3 yards per carry.

He had 3 sub 100 yard games this season, all 3 were the 3 non conference games they've played.

Against UFC, he had 20 carries for 58 yards. I think we all know what would happen against Bama. BUT, in spite of that poor performance, he still managed 2700 yards from scrimmage for the season.

He should have one with no contest this year.
No contest? Fournette just had arguably the 2nd or so best season for a running back ever in the SEC to Hershel Walker.

If LSU wins and makes the 4 team playoff it will take care of itself.

Miles and Cameron are out on the trail like Lewis and the other dude and the Native guy searching for an offense.

First stop- New Orleans- he learns how to run the screen pass from Sean Peyton to further utilize Leonard in the passing game.

Miyagi say, "Side to side. Danyoson."

Second stop- Houston- he learns how to run the ball out of the spread to further utilize Leonard in his new offense.

Miyagi say, "Up down. Danyoson."

Third stop- California. Stanford. He learns how to throw to the tight end and running backs out of the backfield to further utilize Leonard in his newly revised offense.

Miyagi say- "wax the car."

Fourth stop- Texas. Baylor. Learn how to pass out of the spread to further utilize Leonard in our newly revised offense.

Miyagi say- "Sweep the leg..."

"But sensei that's illegal..."

If ALL of this happens I will hump a rubber chicken everyday from now until kickoff at Lambeaux!

I just watched the highlights of the Rose Bowl

I was watching the game and every time he touched the ball - I really thought he would score every single time. He was electric to watch. Just like Fournette. If you give either one a crease...they'll take it to the house.

No he just needs to show up in the big games. Not his fault entirely thou he would have benefitted a ton if we had run Harris more against Bama and Ark.

If the QB takes some pressure off of LF I like his chances. If he had gotten 120 yards in the big games and had we beat either OM or Bama I think LF would have taken the Heisman.

One problem will be that Guice will get more touches next year.

It will be all Stanford early on next year. Then people will get tired of hearing about him and move in to the next guy. Happened to Fournette. One bad game and back of the line you go.

McCaferey will split the loud with Barry Sanders Jr more and will probably not get all return duties. Also, they will have a new qb. I think next year's heismen will be a qb out of Watson, Mayfield, Barrett, or Kizer.
