damn, son. i guess i got my new sig line: Mie2cents 1/2/16:With McCaffrey back at Stanford, Fournettes chances are slim to win Heisman i knew what i meant, did you think you knew what you meant?
Are you talking about when you said this?
"buga will never redshirt. He gone in 3 no matter what! probably 2!" If so, yes I knew what I meant but when you said what you said it made no sense since football players have to have 3 years under their belt before going early to the pros. Your grammar was funny also. Don't hate. I just thought it was a dumb quote and funny.

What I liked is that they involved Fournette more in the passing game over the last four games after they didn't do it any prior. Twelve of his 19 receptions, 195 of his 253 yards and his TD came in the last 4 games. Maybe that carries over to next year? If you take that over the course of 12-13 games (depending on if we make the conference championship), that's anywhere from 36-39 receptions, 585-634 yards, and 3 TDs.

ETA: heisman is a popularity contest. Usually (not all the time) the player that wins it looks normal in their bowl games. I actually don't care as much as I did before, but I would like him to crush SEC and LSU career, single season, and single game rushing and totao offense records.

I guess it will all depend on which team has that great record since most Heisman hopefuls are on a 9 or 10 win team. I would love to see LF7 get an invite to New York but his chances of winning will probably be low because McCaffrey is unbelievable and should have won in 2015.

Please. Heisman race is mccaffrey, Watson, and fournette. Anyone can win it. Fournette wins by land slide if our team would have shown up against Bama. We show up against Bama, then we also show up against ole miss, and Arkansas. Mccaffrey is extremely talented, but Fournette is unbelievable himself. Mccaffrey has a pretty solid team around him offensively. For the most part LF7 has carried this offense with not much help, and everyone set out to stop him. Got robbed out of 2100-2200 yard season rushing. I would also argue that if he was still returning kicks, his numbers would be somewhat similar to mccaffrey.

If anything you might see him featured less with the emergence of Guice

Nah. I see Guice getting his carries doubled, but trust me, they are going to feature Fournette. Think of how Wisconsin did with Gordon and Clement. Gordon finished with 343 carries and Clement had 142 in 14 games. Gordon had damn near 2600 yards and 29 TDs (rushing) and Clement had 950 and 9 TDs rushing.

Fournette is going to be utilized a lot more in the receiving game though.

No he just needs to show up in the big games. Not his fault entirely thou he would have benefitted a ton if we had run Harris more against Bama and Ark.

And it's not like he didn't show up in big games, just not against Bama. Even against Arkansas and Ole Miss he did good

vs Arky - (4.8 ypc) 91 rush yards 1 TD, 3 rec 36 yards
vs Ole Miss - (4.32 ypc) 108 rush yards, 4 rec 72 yards

It was just that Bama game that killed him. We really messed up his chances by not doing anything to help him. That is the only game he didn't have at least 125 yards from scrimmage.

I mean even Henry had several poor outings. Fournette could have easily broken the SEC single game rushing record vs Auburn but sat with 10:28 left in the third. He set with around 10 or so minutes left in the 3rd vs South Carolina and he had 158 yards at that time. He had a 56 yard run vs Ole Miss called back for stupid stuff and an 87 yard run vs Syracuse called back for nonsense (none of his doing).

Seriously Fournette should have ran away with the heisman this year. I have a feeling LSU gets much better as a whole and Fournette is the engine to a successful, but this time 'balanced', offense. While I know Bama is great every year at run defense, this year they just became supernatural. They lose a lot of those players that made that great, plus they come to LSU.

Winning the Heissman Trophy is prestigious, but at the end of the day Is it really that important to someone as talented and gracious as Leonard Fournette?
His future with LSU next year and beyond will be filled with awards and accolades again next year, as well with a more experienced QB and players with more playing experience to make a run to win The SEC championship and beyond.
Clearly the NFL experts and teams will make him the clear winner when his time comes. IMO, Henry and McCaffrey are very good, if not great, but not as good as Fournette.
