Never understood why Florida and A&M are considered “toss ups.” They’ve got new coaches but they’ll be trotting out mostly the same players. Both teams are seriously flawed. LSU should be favored and beat both of them easily.

We play at Florida again and we beat them last year by 1 point, with them missing an extra point. They're also going to be better coached this year.

Y’all sure have high expectations for a career 3rd team qb.

Burrow was 2nd string his redshirt freshman year (and, to my eye, looked very good in limited mop-up duty). Last year, his redshirt sophomore year, he was 3rd string at least in part because he broke a bone in his throwing hand in fall camp.

both have new coaches - who are very good coaches. It's not crazy to think those teams will both be better.

TAMU will be weak. Their O-line is garbage, lost only playmaker in Kirk, back 7 on Defense can’t tackle air, and their QB’s can’t hit the broad side of a barn. LSU should roll them again

Yea Patrick gets bent out of shape when people post "mean things" about O. It's funny and sad

There are only two games on the schedule where we could unanimously be considered underdogs and both of those are in Tiger Stadium.

We will be unanimous underdogs @ Auburn. Jordan Hare is tough place to play. Auburn will have a top defense and Stidham is the real deal.
Moo U is at TS but they return everyone and they hired a good replacement. That is no gimme.

hopefully so, but new coaches can make a big difference, very quickly. Don't sleep on A&M.

The problem is there is zero honesty with the cheerios. After the Spring game, they were beating their chests about JM and how great he was and what development he has had. But then you dangle Burrow and they flock to him announcing all 3 existing qb's as trash. Now we're looking at most games as definite wins. Someone needs to get all the predictions down before the goal posts move and we're branded a young team again.

I don't think we're trash, but also don't think we'll be anywhere near a top 10 team either. The idea that we're going to beat people with our defense alone is madden video game thinking. Our defense will be good, but no defense can hold up if we aren't sustaining drives on offense. Does Burrow do that for us? He certainly looks the part. Will he? Who knows. I hope for his sake, he's able to win because every loss will be on him as to protect precious coach 0. He'll find himself under the bus faster than he can imagine if we don't win.

So let's all get on the record as to our predictions. I'll stay with 6-6 floor and 9-3 ceiling. I think we'll probably split the difference at 8-4 or 7-5 depending on how much of a turn around A&M has.

When you go to a quarterback factory like say Georgia you are often better than starters at another school.

Glad I wasn't the only one that noticed this.

The goal posts will always be moved to fit whatever narrative they decide to run with.

We will be out coached in the majority of our non-cupcake games, and possibly in some of them (eg, La Tech).

No outcome is definite.

However, I’m optimistic that with Aranda and our players and the new QB, we will have a lot better chance to overcome the head coaching deficit in most of them.

I don't know why this is so hard for negative frickers to understand.

You can not be 100% on board, or full of hatred, and take the good with the bad while letting it play out.

Where in the world do you get this from?

I get he's good and better than what we currently have (or just more experienced, not necessarily better). But you have nothing to base "elite" on.
