With a conference only schedule, this could be the greatest SEC season ever.

The schedule will be a 10 game gauntlet. No cupcakes, no time to rest up and recover. Our mantra is "Next man up", and this year we are going to have to walk the walk. It's going to be brutal, and if we run that gauntlet unscathed, this year's team will deserve to be compared to last year's team as the greatest ever.

Why all the downvotes? Why can't LSU have two back to back phenomenal teams?

I was just thinking the very same thing...it is a damn shame that it is going to be all fricked up by this virus.

There will never be a team better than 2019. Never.

Guarantee Alabama doesn’t play tough games back to back. That ended in 2012 when they lost to A&M the week after they played LSU.

Gauntlet for most though, I agree.

You’re getting a lot of downvotes but I think I’m a year where we weren’t hosting a marquee non conference opponent, you wouldn’t.

Losing Texas is a kick in the dick, but otherwise I totally agree w you.

Yeah, I'm not getting the downvotes, but it is what it is. The Rant can be fickle. I suppose if I didn't include comparing an unbeaten 2020 team to 2019's team, it might go the other way. I stand by that statement, so it ain't gonna change.

I stand by your statement. Im all about balls to the wall all season long. I hate cupcake games. I slap them with my corn dog.

Just like “old times” when the only games were interconference.

They're the people that can't see the good in anything and either (1) think the season shouldn't happen at all or (2) think the season should have never been modified in the first place.

This. Unfortunately, I'm willing to bet that by the season's end, you're going to have teams trotting out their third-string because half the team is in quarantine.
