Define successful

I define success as being extremely productive at every stop except for LSU.

I wonder why? Could it be because the head coach interfered.

I am glad to see LSU fans equate success for Maryland with LSU.

Yeah buddy

Was he not the OC of the year before we hired him? Is that successful enough for you. I didnt like his offense but it seems to work.

I agree. Tell that to the ones that won't let go of 1/9/12.

If we're gonna let go of stuff that happened less than a year ago, shouldn't we let go of shite that happened over 7 years ago?

And before you snap about what I said, I'm not saying you are one of the ones that keep bringing up that game.

Probably doesnt help the narrative that Canada's offense sucked later in the year too though. Was the redzone scoring or playcalling ever any good all year?

Our maybe he couldn't cut it in the SEC. Y'all love them shifts and motions.

I think you might have misunderstood what safety_man was saying. When he said "Was he not the OC of the year before we hired him?", I think he was talking about Canada being the only offensive Broyles award finalist.

He doesn’t have anyone to answer to. If they motion and false start 15 times in a row there’s no one to say hey simplify till they figure it. With that said, no one said he couldn’t coach, his issue is taking orders from others.

That shitty system doesn’t work in the SEC. we took one of the best backs in LSU history and threw him the ball 18 times last year.

The TE/H back position that motioned all over the field, only had 40 receptions as a group COMBINED.

Chark accounted for 874 yards. The next WR, Gage, had 285.

Canada was 76th in Points per game. Freaking Cameron and ensminger did as good or better.

Give it up on this shite. Fact is Matt Canada has no correlation to the LSU football program anymore. I don’t need to see daily threads mentioning where he’s taking the Maryland program.

Exactly. But you're going to read about him every week. Maryland has the weakest schedule in the B1G and they are going to roll some very weak teams. I think Michigan and Michigan State are the only two ranked teams left on their schedule. They don't play Wisconsin, Ohio State or Penn State.
Canada was a cancer and it was reports that he and Aranda despised each other. Give me Aranda any day over Canada.

I understood what he meant, but one year doesn’t make him a “very successful” OC. Gene Chizik won a national championship at Auburn. Why hasn’t somebody come and scooped him up from his anchor position?

They play Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, and Penn State.

Article is relevant since it mentions LSU football and its head coach. Thanks op.

I was making that point. Like I said I did not like Canadas offense but it's still humming along wherever he goes. With that said I still would have much rather Oregeron fired him like he did than to keep him on staff as toxic as the relationship was, both parties at fault for that. But to hire Ensminger was a mistake that most likely cost Orgeron his job.

I get where you're coming from, but he was the only offensive Broyles award finalist. And that was the question that was asked.

Not that it means anything to me. His offense didn't do what was expected out of it last year. But is that his fault, or someone else's?

All I know is, so far the "new" OC is stinking up the place. Hopefully things will get better.

Canada>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>O and Ensminger. I'm still pissed we don't have Canada anymore cuz Orgeron couldn't butt the frick out of Canada's business. Were gonna pay the price now thanks to that. But we still comin right?
