Would you rather us go 7-5 with a super tough schedule or 9-3 with an average schedule?

If 9-3 is the best LSU can do, I'd rather see them schedule the Cajuns and at least make it interesting.

Personally, I would rather be 9-3 playing great competition most every week than 11-1 playing cupcakes.

Those pictures couldn't have been 1st quarter though. Game started at 6 and it doesn't get that dark til like 7:30 It was around the end of 1st start of 2nd. I wanted to give everyone a chance to get to their seats.

Unless Furman went to the locker room between the 1st and 2nd quarter, which they didn't, that 1st quarter picture is at actually halftime. LSU is warming up, and Furman hasn't come out of the locker room yet.

Why are you assuming everyone else can play cupcakes?

I've been a long proponent of the NCAA enforcing/equalizing scheduling on teams.

The difference is 11-1 gets you a national title chance while 9-3 doesn't. shite, Ohio St. plays ALL cupcakes and is two "upsets" away from the ship.

This.

The crowd really wasn't that bad, especially considering the opponent. Most of the crowd stayed until halfway through the 3rd quarter.

Come now, don't ruin the 'I'm a super fan, and you're not' fantasy so many folks here like to carry around with them.

My seats were empty, however.

LSU has nothing to gain by playing Furman.

With the way Miles refuses to utilize the cupcakes to give the starters a rest and the younger guys some live experience, there's really nothing to gain!

That is, in addition to being an insult to fans like myself paying for season tickets year after year.

It's an easy win. Ohio St. does it all the time. It's necessary with the SEC schedule.

If the TCU game was at Tiger Stadium you wouldn't be complaining. You're going to have cupcakes...every school does it.

There were more people in the stadium then i thought there would be. This was a game that was going to be boring for the fans as well as for the players. It's a game where you're either bored to death because we're gut stomping the opponent, or pissed off because we aren't. It's a no win game for all involved except for Furman.

Gave up my tickets after the babies. Someone offered sclub tix and I said no . Furman took wife and son to the Saints game , much more fun IMO . Also went to Florida game with my ten year old son , that was OOC and it was not the lack of fans.

Well yeah, that's kind of the point for what I wrote.

Listen, many of us have been going to LSU home games for quite a while. I've been going for 30 years. People here on the board have been going longer. My tickets were my father's at one time, and will be my son's one day. I've seen 30 years of great games and Furmans on the schedule, although at one time LSU was sneaking in a Notre Dame, a USC, a Florida State. But regardless, I and many others get what you're saying about the excitement of going to games. But after so long, the excitement wears off for those type of games.

You are where I was 20 years ago with it. Now, I gave my tickets away for Furman and others should have done the same. But the point is, just realize that you're preaching to the choir who's already been there done that.

As for the people who didn't want to go for free, what are you going to do?
