So, IF he led with the face mask into the chest (which he clearly leads with the crown into the collar bone), did he launch into a defenseless player leading with the helmet? I think the launch part is pretty clear!!! As is the crown to the collarbone area (which is the base of the neck)!

This hit is about as clear as it gets for targeting without helmet to helmet contact.

Launched into a defenseless player, leading with the crown of the helmet into the neck area is pretty much not debatable! Unless you're in the Bama office, oops, I mean the SEC office.

You cannot reason with Bama fans whether a troll or not. Just not possible. Too much Bama in them.

You should just wash your mouth with soap and brush your tooth. The bias in this quote alone makes you bias. Your own coach said it was about the safety of the player. Any other Player from any other Team makes that hit, they are suspended for targeting. Period. (Maybe an Auburn player could get away with it, depending on who they are playing.) if that was Tua getting creamed, you would be whining another tune. You would best to not try to justify this play and move on over to bashing Carville for speaking the truth....

Mack wilson also clearly launched, leaving his feet, and made contact with the crest of his helmet.

Was he at least flagged for roughing the passer?

Flag was initially thrown for targeting. Went to the Alabama Replay booth and call was overturned. No penalty assessed. Nada. Mack lives to hit legally again, before and after the play ends......

All you people saying Wilson hit UT QB in the neck are blind. My goodness. Pretty clear it's the chest and a legal hit.

Not familiar with either State of Tennessee or Alabama Criminal Code or Code of Criminal Procedure. But statement likely correct and action weren’t “illegal”!

Nobody trying to put the guy in jail (yet).

Generally, as pertains to most NCAA D-1 programs, actions clearly represented “penalties” as that term is generally understood by football fans (Targeting; roughing the passer; unsportsmanlike conduct; late hit; and possibly a few others)

Moreover; as pertains to this team, (Bama), rule 10(B)5 of course applies, which generally provides that “...Alabama football program shall be exempt from the assessment of normal penalties and infractions when in the opinion of the referees and/or the SEC officials in Birmingham, same may negatively affect the competitive advantage Alabama football is historically entitled to enjoy, however slight, and regardless of the degree of agregiousness...”, or somn such arse that!

Exactly!! Burrow was absolutely given the starting job when he visited LSU the first time. Coach O's greatest asset/detriment is that he is an amazing "Used Car Salesman". And we will eventually get what we deserve by hiring him

Yeah your credibility is nonexistent.

You are correct. This board is filled with people who are unhinged and could stand to grow up.

Devin got screwed no doubt. The primary issue with this whole mess is consistency of calls across games.

This times a million. I don’t want Wilson out. I thought his hit was fine. Just like white’s

You're as blind as the refs then. Wilson's hit was targeting, but it's obvious they aren't going to call targeting on Bama. You're delusional if you can't see the bias.

Just as it's obvious that you are a bama gump in disguise on a LSU message board. We're not stupid.
