Oh, the irony.
Oh the irony that articles since have proven I was dead on right that JD didn’t take all the snaps and it’s was way closer to 50/50 than anything?? Like I said people believe what they want no matter how many times the facts slap them in the face

This. frick all of you idiots going to war over this shite. I would put a load of cash on two QB starting games this year, and I would not be at all surprised if there’s a third before it’s over. We all know from the last two years what can happen.

Brenner literally took three snaps

What articles?
Apparently Brennan took 3 snaps with the 1s at the very end. Making things up doesn’t support your argument the way you think it does.
I assume you understand that Brennan also took snaps with the 2s today?

Exactly why they sought Daniels

It's fine if you love the outdoors and that's your business, but if there's a 3 quarterback race and the other 2 are spending their summer working to improve their game and you're just fishing.........this is what happens.
I said this about myles brennan when he was joe burrow's backup and wasn't attached to his hip.
He would be joking arpund on the sidelines while the game was going on. That told me something.

45 total touchdowns and 13 picks in Daniel’s career including his 13 TD runs.. he has 2- 3k total yard years the guy is not a scrub. He is electric with the ball in his hands. I’m personally rooting for Nuss to be the guy but JD could be special as well.

didn't come here to hold a clipboard, and was told he more than likely would start
I seriously doubt CBK GUARANTEED JD he would be “Given” the QB1 position b4 he ever transferred. At most CBK & Co may have told him that IF he showed substantial improvement in his accuracy, footwork & reading Defenses he would be their preferred QB1 over MB & Nuss since their offense is geared towards a Quick & Mobile QB.

I didn't say he was guaranteed. I said he was told he had a really good shot.
It's nothing but speculation on my part, just like anyone else. I just know that the odds are that Daniels (who's on the back 9 in his college career), looked at powerhouse LSU, and saw he only had to beat out Brennan (who signed with LSU before the smart phone was invented and has yet to claim the job), and Nuss.
I imagine he looked at a few other schools where he KNEW he would start day one. Think UTEP or maybe even an Illinois or Memphis. He most likely figured he could beat out who we have here, so he signs with us.
If you use logic, and understand the ABSOLUTE NEED for these QBs to play, it's not hard to piece together their thought process.

You appear to have a screw, or two, loose.
You appear to be a noob, likely here to ride dick for the new coaching staff that has lots to prove. I'll stand by my statement. Football is a game of adapt or die. We will see if BK has learned this lesson that most of the coaches in the SEC have already learned. Did Saban throw the ball all over the field 10 years ago? What happened to Clemson once their throwing QB was drafted and the "running QB" took over?

If nuss would be the guy today then it seems plausible that he gets the nod in 20 days
Think about which guy can and will leave if they don’t get the start- Myles and nuss. Daniels is stuck here.

Watson - dual threat
Bryant - dual threat
Lawrence - dual threat
DJ - dual threat, and probably the least mobile of the 4.
What are you on about?

quote:Dude was less than stellar last year. He has the skills, needs to calm his brain down and focus on the game and not on hyping the crowd. If he settles his mind, he has a shot. If he's wild and out of control like he was last year, he doesn't have a shot.
Nuss is a little bit of a wild card but he opens the playbook wide open and if he's throwing to Boutte deep, that's a battle we can win consistently. It's Nuss, nothing else makes sense. Get on board, the kid is exciting to watch.

A similar phrase for guaranteed is more than likely? Ok, I learned something new today.
In all seriousness, I agree with one of your earlier posts in this thread. While I have no doubt the staff can coach different style QBs, they do seem to prefer a mobile one. I think it's agreed by most that Daniels best fits that bill.
And I stand by my take that he came here knowing he could beat out what we have here, and the pitch from the staff was pretty close to what you speculated on earlier.
