Will You Blame Coach O When Brennan Goes On to Be an Elite QB?

Some people say Coach O had to offer other QBs a scholly, or he wouldn't be doing his job.
I say you go after who you want and then sleep in the bed you make. Brennan is an excellent QB, and probably one of the best ones we've had in years.
I'm sorry, I'm tired of reading about LSU in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. You have a world-class commit, and you offer his job to someone else out form under him?
I don't blame Brennan when he chooses to go to another school. He is a phenomenal athlete, and better yet, doesn't have gold teeth and an attitude problem like some coaches seem to love.
What kind of 4-D chess is O playing here?

Sorry you don't have a clue. If you read what Brennan said he is still committed to LSU but will keep a close eye on how this class plays out.

It ain't his job until he's enrolled and proved himself. If the kid can't handle the idea of competing with others for a job I don't want his arse on our team

With the business that college football has become, I don't blame Brennan for making a business decision.
Choosing to go to LSU when they have offered a 'dual-threat' QB, and knowing LSU has a history of playing these types over traditional more-talented pro-style QBs, why go to LSU just to not play and lose a year when you have to transfer in order to salvage any hope of making money as an athlete after college?
Why should he go to LSU, the education ?
All you old-timers who think CFB is still like in the 20s, when playing sports was because you had pride in your team need to get with it. These kids are making power plays for their careers, with millions on the line.
Brennan needs to go somewhere he knows he can showcase himself for the next level.

it dont look like coach O is even trying to keep brennan, he has not visited the man lately, he has not reached out to brennan but coach O has reached out to narcisse and tua from hawaii. why did lsu hire coach O again. there are other coaches out there, plenty. a good one just got scooped up by purdue. he knows offense, brohm knows qb's

Brennan is waiting to see who the OC will be and if LSU stays Pro set. How hard is this to understand and if we go dual we will be recruiting dual QB's !

As formerly involved in LSU recruiting (way back when), let's wait and see what happens. O has had a lot of historical success in recruiting and, remember, he's also working inconjunction with Corey et al who are also excellent recruiters.
For the moment, realize 99% of the folks on this board are lay people who have day jobs that don't involve major college athletics. Not a jab. Honesty.

No man.... Should of had more than 2 on the list than just two and a consolation prize but neither one of those two would of been good for LSU.

And that's why we are in the mess we are now. Some years lsu only got 1 QB commit and it seemed like other years we got a verbal and really quit looking at other QBs and got burned.

Some went to MLB, some went to other schools, others didn't pan out. Why put all your eggs in one basket.
