We were not rebounding 50% of our misses in prior games.

Probably poorly worded on my part, of course you didn't put entire comment there instead you cherrypicked part of it. I specifically said you have to look at it proportionately. We got 50% of our misses. We have not been coming anywhere near that number, so yes, it is an improvement.

print the shirts. You act like this is a special accomplishment...you sound like a lose

Hey dipshit, I wasn't bragging about losing. If you read entire comment, which is probably tough for someone of your intellect, I said improving offensive rebounding and free throw shooting gave us a chance on a night when we only shot 35% from the field. The discussion was about whether this team had improved. Believe it or not, you can make improvements in areas and sill lose the game, especially when you're playing one of the hottest teams in the country.

You're really coming across as a low IQ individual. You may want to do yourself a favor and read my entire post before you respond. Maybe even read it out loud to yourself.

We have won 20 games. We are 20-10.
And I know woulda coulda shoulda, but LSU had a chance to win in at least half of those 10 losses.
We've only been outclassed and blown out in a few games.

I think if we are fully healthy for the tourney, we have a chance to be a Sweet 16 team....

think Wade is feeling the heat and trying to spin things as positively as possible. He's not in bad shape, but definitely needs to have an improved team next year.

He has to? Other than his first year (which was a success), we have made the tourney every year. We won the SEC in year 2.

Now, fans naturally always want to take the next step from making the tourney to having some good tourney runs (I want that as well), but I don't see any pressure on him this year going into next year. Before the season, I was thinking that if we made the tourney, it would be a good year considering what we lost. We lost Smart, Cam, Watford and role players like Hyatt, etc. LSU lost a ton last year and then lost a key piece before the season started in Miller. It looks like we'll be in the tourney, so I don't see any heat coming.

someone with a high iq wouldn't equate having an occasional game showing improvement in some areas as improvement...most consider improvement to be over a stretch of games...we know where you stand on improvement dummy

That's only one part needed.

Strategy
Effort
Execution

All three have to be consistent to win consistently.

The dumb fouls are what is killing us. When Eason fouled out it almost looked like he was trying to find a way to get called on one. Pinson shouldn't have been in foul trouble at all though. 60% of the charge calls were bullshite.

I know it was a travel, but had Wilkinson not have been swatting at the ball and made them earn those points, we likely win that game.

Not trying to be a "refs are out to get us" guy, but facts are facts.

If he starts slow, there will be. But he usually starts fast and fizzles.

He's safe through next season but I do think the program needs a jump start. He needs better bench coaching.

Well I do think we have done well with TOs in the last few games. In the last 6 we are turning it over on about 18% of the possessions down well below our conference number of 22% of possessions

And we seem to make our free throws all of sudden, these two are probably the biggest reason the Offensive Eff number has gone down like 30 spots in the last few weeks.

The facts are that this team fouls way too much. It happens almost every game, its a pattern. That's not officiating. Its a lack of discipline.

I fully agree about the bench coaching part. This will be LSU's 1st year outside the top 3 in the SEC though. So he has been doing well. Fans will naturally want to take the next step though or at least return to challenging for the SEC.

Lol. This is a blatant lie, but you do you.

This is the ONLY year of his tenure that this has happened.

You need better troll material, your current schtick is lame.

LSU can easily make the sweet 16. I’d assume most people here don’t watch college basketball, but newsflash…every team, EVERY team, has flaws. You catch them on an off night or not hitting shots, anybody can win.

That's the point of the thread really. Like I said there is a lot to criticize, but going into postseason, with our athleticism, we could win a couple of games in the right matchups playing hard like we did Wednesday.
