“We could compensate him more than the rookie minimum.” I’m not sure who he was talking about, but I couldn’t stop laughing. I love this guy, he’s definitely an American Gangster

Is he joking, in he serious? Find the money and then I’ll dive off the Wade train. I broke into the sly grin... That’s my coach!

Like Joe Exotic taught us. Nothing happens until actual money is seen exchanging hands.

Do u think kentucky fans care how many times they went on probation or how many games they won? Maybe he is maybe not.

When someone has bank records or even confession from said player my tune may change. Until then, Wade is my coach...

A four year education is quite expensive these days.

Education, room and board, books, meal plans, tutoring -- it probably adds up to more than a rookie minimum. Wade obviously puts high value on an education.

Not sure how anyone could think otherwise from this.

We were competing against Calipari for him. I’m sure John was just offering him a scholarship as well.

Why do you think Forde is bent out of shape. He chose LSU over UK.

I mean I get the rationalizing it by fans because it’s rampant in the sport but the weird pride many of you take in having it displayed on tape is pretty embarrassing

I wouldn't call it pride, but it is what it is. If the NCAA comes down on LSU then it needs to come down on all of basketball collectively, or allow compensation be paid to players transparently.

It's not an amateur league and hasn't been for a long time. The NCAA needs to stop acting like it is.

Wasn’t that exchange in reference to a player at the draft combine and not an actual recruit? Meaning that the whole fricking conversation was a joke.

And Pearl....

And don't think that Calipari didn't like it and I have no issue concluding he had something to do with stirring the pot in this thing. Shannon Foreman's involvement is a red flag in that regard for me.

I do think Cal is feeding info, both legit and probably not so much to guys like Forde and his pal Dickie V. Dick knew stuff very early that he should not have at the time.
