He was a beast on defense blocking shots and rebounding. That's what we sorely need right now. Nobody expected him to be dropping 15 points a game or something.
He's way better than anyone we have right now in those respects. I'd grab him in a heartbeat, tell Gray or Ezewiro to find another home and then grab a guard in the portal as well. We need to upgrade the roster as much as possible.

Well, he shot 55% from the field, averaged 6 points, 6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks on an average of 18 minutes per game, so he had good numbers considering how much he played. However, his free throw % was just 32% which is really bad and had 1.6 turnovers in 18 minutes of play. So he obviously has to work on those things. Not sure if he'll transfer here, but LSU needs a big rebounder/shot blocker and his FG % was very good.

Yes - this would have been an elite 8 team with his rim protection and rebounding alone.

You could argue that's what THIS year's team sorely needed. Maybe not as much for next year (though a complete defensive overall does have to occur). NEXT year's teams looks to need scorers and shooters. LSU seems to have multiple athletic guys who, in theory, should be good defenders and rebounding.
Obviously, you strongly consider taking him if he wants to come. But relative to the strengths of this year's team vs. what we expect could be the strengths of next year's team the additional of Cisse may not be as impactful. In other words his addition might be a year too late because while you have the rim protection....you don't have the scoring to complement it

Did Cisse enroll at LSU, play several games, quit at the end of the season, attempt to transfer to an SEC, only to (potentially) ask to come back?
One quit on the team and is (possibly) asking to rejoin said team only after being push out the door by a fellow SEC rival.
The other never enrolled at LSU because he clearly was scared off by outside misinformation and now that the misinformation has proven to be inaccurate would potentially be doing what he wanted to do in the first place
Other than that though they are completely the same scenario
