A lot of those guys aren't as quality as you think. They may be 2 really stand out players on that team, that's about it.

He signed a top 20 class and brought in 3 starters from a team that went 31-3 and made the round of 32, as well as having a player that represented the USA in U19 international play and started as a freshman on an NCAAT 1 seed.

Oh, I do. Not happy about this season but don’t think that it is a coaching problem. I’m going to give McMahon a chance. I trust Woodward. He is SO much smarter than the mouth breathers on this forum

I trust woody on almost everything but he really handled the situation poorly and I’m not sold on his ability to evaluate and hire basketball coaches that are good fits at their respective schools. Buzz has been extremely underwhelming at A&M. He was hired at a program that was coming off of 2 Sweet 16s in 3 years and has yet to make the NCAAT.
At a school like LSU, Bama, or Auburn, you need a Nate Oates, Bruce Pearl, or Will Wade type coach to not only get the fans engaged but play the villain role when recruiting against the blue bloods.
I should also like to add that I really like McMahon as a person and of course I’m pulling for him to succeed.

So you don’t think there’s enough talent on this roster to finish better than 11th in the league?
What exactly is MM bringing in next year to make it better. He’s losing his seniors that he brought from a 31-3 team (hell one of them has already quit - not a good sign).

Will Wade made it harder to recruit great players to LSU. There is a microscope on the basketball program right now. I was a huge supporter of Wade when he got here but his actions really hurt the program in a huge way.

You’re literally too stupid to insult. His “actions” got us into the tournament 4 times, do you understand how much revenue that generates for the school. That means you get tournament proceeds for the next 3 year’s tournaments.
From a recruiting perspective, no, he didn’t put us under a microscope. The NCAA got his scalp, that’s what they wanted. By the way, there really are no more rules. Hell, Florida just offered a high school kid $13 Million.

Look man I understand where you’re coming from, you want LSU to win the right way with no cheating. The problem with that is that you can’t do that anymore. You won't ever win anything in this day and age if you don’t do some illegal recruiting. I agree, it’s f*cked up but that’s the way it is. We can’t change it. All of them do it. Will Wade was just the scape goat for the ncaa to try to prove that they still have some power.
