But it was a good legal decision. The NCAA would have buried LSU had they not fired Will Wade. And I mean BURIED.

No they wouldn’t by this point in time the ncaa was being plowed in court over and over.

Just like the NCAA BURIED all of the other programs being investigated during that period?
Kansas gave Bill Self a de facto lifetime contract during the investigation and won a national championship. They didn't get buried. Oklahoma St "cooperated" with the NCAA and got hit with a postseason ban...prompting their head coach and AD to call a press conference advising other schools to NOT cooperate with the NCAA.
LSU "cooperated" with the NCAA and inadvertently self imposed the death penalty on the basketball program.
LSU went from often getting crowds of 10k+ in the PMAC to fussing at students who were just showing up to get hats and leaving before the game even started. Have you attended a game recently? It looks like a mix of comic-con and a 60 year high school reunion. The crowd of 2,000 consists of weirdos and people who bitch about the concession stands not taking cash.

wasn't....but he was the coach that brought LSU to a relevant level that had not been seen for a long time on the national level.

Well Brady took about double the time to get his team to the final four and Wade was more consistent.
Brady would win the second and then bottom out and climb up.
Basketball post season is really flukish as well because you can have a stacked team and still run into other ones while another team gets an easy road with high seeds winning.
Brady should have had a final four team but we got sent out west and ended up with a nightmare style for our team capped off by a bad set of refs that their style favored allowing Wisconsin to rape us.
Wade was also younger than Brady. Wade had brought consistent success that we had not seen since the middle Dale years
