Will this O line/RB combo be the best since 2007? 2003?

We are finally experienced at O-line, with good size and depth.
And at RB we have experience, depth.
Couple this with an improved passing attack to keep opposing Ds honest, and we may be chewing up real estate on the ground. Thoughts?

I don't know about the experience part at RB, but I do expect us to be pretty effective running the ball.

I'm excited to see Ware running behind this line.

Maybe? Who knows? Time will tell. Too early to say. Only way we'll see a truly dominate running game is if we'll ever make teams respect the pass. We were good on the ground last year, imagine how much better it would be with a decent pass game.

One key --> must stay healthy
Do this, and sky's the limit

I am looking forward to seeing Ware AND Ford in the backfield.
I believe our running game (players not stats) are better than last year, I believe our WR will be better than last year, I believe JJ will be better than last year, and the OL should be better.
RB should be as good... potentially better but not going to predict that although I am very excited to watch Ware... with fingers crossed.

2008 was better than either 2003 or 2007. Black, Herm, and Helms were all a year older (and better) than they were in 2007. Same with Hitt. The fact that Black and Hitt regressed horribly in 2009 has no impact on this 2008 season.
The only change was replacing Karnell Stewart with Joseph Barksdale.
++++++++++
I do not know the final numbers/statistics, but it is important to remember that opposing defenses pretty much ignored our passing game (almost daring Jarrett Lee to pass the ball). And our rushing game went up against 8 man fronts all year long. It was amazing how effective we were running the ball that year - and all the credit goes to that offensive line unit.

We have the potential to be great. Our offensive roster is loaded with experienced and extremely talented players. Anyone else fielding a team such as ours would be crushing defenses.
I'm a huge JJ supporter but isn't it realistic to expect a top 25 national offense given the talent on field? If we start playing 6-7 man fronts after we show an improved passing attack, then Ware and Ford will be primed to explode. We gon' truck over some people this year.
I want to see Mike Ford lower his pads and crush a safety.

yes. Hope Copeland can be something close to being like Quinn Johnson. He's got the size. Eager to see what he can do leading the way for Ware and Ford.

Maybe Copeland's blocking can rival Johnson's, but remember, Johnson even caught a pass or two and could sometimes get one or two tough yards running up the middle when needed. Since J.C. Copeland had not played FB until last season, it will take him quite a bit of time to learn how to do that.

Rb position needs the least amount of experience out of any position by far. I could come up with endless examples of true freshmen.

NO.
While I know the o-line has improved last season over the previous, I'm still not overly enamored with the squad.
Not saying they are bad. But last year they were far from what we are used to seeing.
It's my opinion the Oline made way too many holding and false start penalties. And it appeared to me all season the RBs had to work for every yard. I don't have the stats and I'm too lazy to look it up, but it seemed like we had much less big gains (easy yards) for the RBs than in the past. This is NOT all the RBs fault as I'm sure someone is about to say.
I'll give it a few games before saying they are the best since 03.

No because CLM will keep MF in the doghouse, who is the only person who could come close to putting up numbers like Hester
