Will there actually be an expulsion vote on Thursday?

I think most believe that the court case Wednesday is to gain full authority to enforce their own “rules”. Assuming that TRO gets approved(it will), is it a sure thing that a vote is held on Thursday for expulsion? They wouldn’t go through this without the required votes in their pocket. Or will this be some sort of intervention stating LSU better fall in line, or else?

No. The purpose of the meeting is to consider a vote, which will never take place.

I feel pretty confident there will at least be some sort of punitive measure voted on. Suspension of Kiffin, some sort of probation, I don’t know.
There are too many interests seeking blood for them to come out completely empty handed.

I seems like a way to float it out in the media and see how the reaction is a few days before the vote. If everyone calls the SEC out then they don't do the vote.
I find it hard to believe that ESPN are going to greenlight their talking heads to push for this. Disney is going to try and kabash this swiftly.

They already are……
Or at least adding fuel to the fire.

For what exactly? What rule did he break

They. Don’t. Need. To. Justify. It.
They’ll just throw out the buzzwords and hide behind the fact it isn’t a single person making the call, but the entire conference community following bylaw procedure in the SEC charter.
Logic and reason has left the building. Everyone is running on pure emotion.

I disagree. They cannot legally simply decide to do that. The lawsuits would go on for decades.

Based on the sec lawsuit, for violating the SEC constitution by having a lack of institutional control. I think it’s pretty clear that’s their argument at this point.

No but LSU should request a counter motion to consider whether the conference members could request a no confidence vote among its members for a sitting commissioner

Against who?
You wouldn’t be suing the SEC. The SEC or any of their agents did not make that call.
You would be suing at least 11 schools directly.

I think it will happen. And I think he has the votes.
You don’t schedule a vote without having them in your pocket.
Would be one hell of a frick up otherwise.

LSU would be on an island in that vote.

Sec cannot prove Kiffin poked the players to go to court and sue.
We did not roster the players
We did not play with those players
They got butthurt by Kiffin comments at half time and are pissed off that our Administration is following suit.
That’s it. That’s not lack of institutional control. That’s a “I’ve got it out for them now bc those coon asses done messed with the wrong tough guy”
No legal battle can be won by sec using that

Prove it in court. Also let’s call Kirby smart and Pete Golding to the stand along with every other coach.
Not to mention this is speculation. Not a proven fact. Nor does it matter.

It'll be a unanimous strongly worded letter.

That makes zero sense.
