Trent Johnson actually did that when I was a student a few years ago. He was really cool when he spoke to us, too. We just sucked so a lot of my friends didn't care.
That being said CJMFJ should do the same because last year all the greek group would avoid the losers behind the goal like the plague.

Bingo. As far as I know CJJ has not come around to speak to us, but if he did, we'd definitely go to a few games (probably not student section) just for taking the time to visit.

Not a student but student section needs to be moved back to the center. Who wants to be stuck behind a goal to watch a game?

Tons of students went, but like myself, many didn't sit with the "Roar Corps" for a variety of reasons.
1. The view fricking blows. Unless you're in the upper part of the student section, you can't even see when there are scores on the far side, much less the action on the floor on the near side. The student section relocation was and always will be a terrible idea.
2. The aura of the section. Yes I know you're going to tell me to nut up and not care that it's not cool to be there, but that just scratches the surface. Pair the general lack of enthusiasm (which will hopefully be different this year) with the fact that the section nearest is the fricking media. It kinda brings you down.
3. Not only the weirdos, the assholes. Tuxes and Elvis? We're not in the ACC just yet. And then there's that fricktard with the white board who tries to "lead" the section. He's most of the reason students hate being near that.
4. There are ALWAYS open seats where there is a better view. As a student last year, I sat my happy arse center court on the middle level. Maybe if those seats weren't open, it'd force students to stay with the "Roar Corps"

Yeah as a current student I have never wanted to sit in that so called "student section"

I would say majority of student sections are behind the goal, more of a disturbance during the game and can effect free throws. It also frees up the court side seats so the schools can make more money.
